Hi,

One of the things I hated most about MW4 and to a lesser extent MW3 was how all the weapons were pinpoint accurate to the reticle. That meant you could stack 2 PPCs and 2 Gauss rifles in the same weapon group and even at max range they would all slam into the same part of the mech. It would act like a giant AC/60. The most common scenario was seeing an entirely pristine mech with the center torso carved out like a giant metal donut.

Please implement some mechanism to spread the damage around from various weapons. Two mechanisms come to mind:

1) Reticle spread. A lot of FPS games have a reticle spread where the bullet can fall anywhere inside a given box centered on the reticle. If you calculate the random deviation for each weapon seperately then it should cause the damage to spread out a bit. This mechanism would also feed in nicely to weapon accuracy over ranges, or even for possible future implementation of targeting computers in reducing reticle spread.

2) A second approach was something I saw in that cancelled Battletech 3205 game. In that game it would apply a percentage of the damage from a volley directly to where the reticle was, and then it would randomize the remaining percentage over the rest of the mech.

Thanks for taking the time to read!
