Personally I think dropships should be entirely AI with the commander just selecting a point on the map and hoping for the best when the ai does its thing. Dropships should not have weapons.

I'd assume this is always the case... who wants to pilot a dropship. Piloting a mech out of a hotdrop should be a 'skill up' though.

Dropships should have health and require c bill to repair and fuel just like mechs. If destroyed thats gonna be a hell of a lot of repair cost. Therefore dropships will only be used by the more wealthy more organized merc units.
