Now I have been really tempted to buy a founders package but system requirements have always been my concern. Graphics wise I am fine, but I have heard from fellow gamers that MWO is isn't too demanding at lower performance levels. So if anyone else could confirm or deny whether or not I would be able to run MWO on 2 gig of ram would be great, I don't mind how graphically gorgeous it would be, I just really wanna play.

thanks very much.

I would go take the money you have for the founders package and put it towards some more ram. Then I would go sell myself on the street corner and use that money to buy the founders package before the deals are over.

I know I am only .6 below the minimum requirement, I'll wait and see if anyone else is in a similar situation.

Yes it will, but you have to run everything super-super low.

2 gigs of ram is way below the minimum (which is 4). I guess maybe-sorta-kinda if you had a GREAT CPU and a rockin' GPU, but if you only have 2GB RAM then I am doubtful :(

The game is based on the Crysis 2 engine, so go to http://www.systemreq...cyri/intro.aspx, and use the drop down for Crysis 2, If you can run that, you can run this, and by god go get more ram, cause this game is worth every single penny, its AMAZING!!

Thought MWO used the Crysis 3 engine? Least thats what I heard in a review recently.

A little birdie told me, regarding the closed beta, the performance is terrible compared to a released game(Read into the final product's performance whatever way you'd like. Beta often isn't representative of the final product, performance-wise or quality-wise.), and there are basically no options to tweak anything to get better performance(Resolution(1024x768 minimum) and "Quality"(Low/Medium/High), and Fullscreen or Windowed. That's it really, everything else is just brightness or similar, that has no effect on performance.)

Even on the lowest possible settings, the visuals are very detailed, and special effects like motion blur are still enabled, and can't be turned off.

I'd really suggest staying away from the Founder's Club unless your computer's specs are better than the Recommended Specs. Being closer to the Minimum specs and trying to run the beta isn't really a playable experience, and you're just throwing your money away, unless a big part of it for you is the Founders Mechs or the out-of-game perks like a Founder's Tag or mention in the credits.

*edit*
And yes, the game uses CryEngine 3. It's prominently dispayed in the opening credits.

I have a below spec system for now, but got the founders package anyway, realizing that it probably wouldn't play too well on my present computer (if at all - it's definitely not a gaming machine), but plan on getting a better system at some point in the future to actually use for playing enjoyment.

Crysis 2 = powered by cryengine 3

That being said, download and run the crysis 2 SDK, if you can run that decently, there's a decent shot that you can run MWO, albeit with everything tweaked as low as it'll go.

Ignore this, it's....incorrect. I can't really give details about the beta other then to say I'm in it.

On an unrelated note, I'm running the minimum vid card for this game.

I run 3 gigs with XP. I am happy. Of course I also have a quad core and 560it gx card.

buy 2 more GB and you are good to go... for other games as well... doesn´t cost that much, if you still use DDR2 800 or something like that

The game will ‘run’ on 2GB RAM (and less...)

The game will ‘run’ on both of those (and less...)

In either case, striving to reach the minimum specs would be wise from an optimal gameplay experience.

I am pretty sure 610 and 620 are "office" cards that would struggle even with Doom 3.

Here is the entry level card for cryengine3:

The question was would it run – and it will.

The question was not would it run well – and it will not.
