Cyborgs shall rule all robots. I'm all for swapping flesh for metal.
please, if a world renowned surgeon said he would swap my left hand for a metallic claw with piston clamps capable of cutting/crushing solid steel in half, for free (as a medical scientific experiment). I'd say yes without even considering.
Bonus, he can do the same with my right hand if he can fashion swappable variants from "claws" to 3 fingered "hands".

By all means, I am already mentally a machine. All that is required is the physical symbiosis/transformation.

What began as a conflict over the transfer of consciousness from flesh to machines escalated into a war which has decimated a million worlds. The Core and the Arm have all but exhausted the resources of a galaxy in their struggle for domination. Both sides now crippled beyond repair, the remnants of their armies continue to battle on ravaged planets, their hatred fueled by over four thousand years of total war. This is a fight to the death. For each side, the only acceptable outcome is the complete elimination of the other.

Ah yes total annihilation. Fun stuff.

A newer variant of such grand strategy games would be: Supreme commander: Forged alliance.
If you have to know, I am Cybran.

I used to throw it down with dual screen split screen. Using one monitor to survey my base and the other to scout and keep an eye on the enemy's location. I also hooked up a beta program coded for a company that a good friend of mine owns, that allows me to operate 2 mouse cursors on a single system. Being ambidextrous and all, it wasn't much of a feat to start flinging the mass micro with dual mouse controlled movement orders. Easily out maneuvering and out APM my opponents.

I later realized that I couldn't keep enough attention on both screens to improve my skills because I couldn't train one eye to focus on one screen and the other eye on the other screen. ~sigh~ Cybernetics would have made it a breeze.
