Albeit propagation of other games is against the rules, I can' judge you. I did a bit of advertising for the game myself in my posts. :)

Let's hope it gets at least the first stretchgoal, because without proper naval units, the game could not be called "Planetary Annihilation", well, every good RTS does have navy (AoE, C&C, TA, EE, RoN, TW) with only slight exception being Relic, but they never made full scaled games in the first place (they always prefer for people to personalize with the smaller units, so it's pretty fine).

been looking at this game for a while but haven't had the money to donate ;). But soon i will :). Also I might be missing a joke or reference but Jon Mavor states that Planetary Annihilation is the spiritual successor to Total Annihilation. Which is a game I sunk many of hours in my youth, with MW2 ofcourse :D

I'm all over this one. Couldn't stop re-watching the trailer. Along with MWO, this makes not one but two 10+ year old franchises springing back to life. Very exciting.

And remember, whilst it may be referred to as a donation, you also get the game. You are effectively pre-ordering. I do wish I could afford to put more into it and get the full box+manual and all, but I've already spent all I can spare on MWO. I still have my TA box+manual to this day.

Total Annihilation already has a "spiritual successor". It's called Supreme Commander.

Pretty interesting, I really like RTSs, so I might check it out.

Wow! Someone else who knows about Command and Conquer! I'm like the only person I know who knows about it.

Total Annihilation was the first PC game I played to death.

I would say I feel moderately excited about this.

Well, it won't be finished until July next year. So, just put it into your schedule and keep some time free. ;)

I'm really looking forward to an interesting RTS here. Most other RTS that were released in the last couple of years didn't interest me at all. ( I think the last ones I bought were Warcraft 3+Expansion and Command & Conquer Generals).

And really...who the heck doesn't know Command & Conquer? O-o

Slightly offtopic but reason I'm looking forward to the Inner Sphere meta game is because I hope it is somewhat like the metagame Boneyards which Cavedog set up for Total Annihilation. Even for a simple 1v1 faction setup, I had the most fun time ever back then.
Nice looking game, indeed a ''Spore meets destructive RTS'' lookalike!

You must wander in some really strange places. Apart from the Starcraft one, pretty much every RTS community has a really good RTS background and knows each other.

Even here, among all the mechwarriors, I managed to find a lot of C&C fans.

Also, for everyone who watched the video, watch it again and then do the same with this (mainly the first 30 seconds):

Did you notice something? :)

Do you know spring?
It's an rts engine designed to be able to load the original TA files.

This trailer does it justice (not sure if it's on the site you linked or not).

I guess I do then, I have a couple of RL friends who know about it, but that's it.
