Okay, sorry it's been a while since my last post, but, this should make up for it.

During the latest sports extravaganza over the last weekend, it got me to thinking: Why not make a commercial for my own unit?

So with a little creativity, and a lot of computer video capability, I did just that.

Not sure if this is where this kind of post belongs, but if it isn't be sure to let me know.

nice video, only issue with it is your logo at the end. The sphere is way to distorted and looks funny. Otherwise really well done!

Yes, but in the .wmv format it looked awesome, LOL but when I converted it to flash it distorted a tad.

Hahaha you meshed together the MW4: Vengeance intro with Terminator music. Took me a minute to figure the music out, but good choice on it.


Also, your name is a little silly for BattleTech... "Battle Magic Mercenary Unit" made me laugh, not going to lie. I also agree with CoffiNail, your logo could use some work. This is my unit insignia for my personal Clan Wolf Zeta Galaxy:

A massive thanks to Hayden for the work on it. It came out fantastic. He does custom work, you could ask him nicely to do one for you as well.

battle magic is an actual mercenary group in BT lore. its got a really good story to it too.

Oh I never said the logo needed work, just that i was distorted at the end of the video. Come on... this is BT, we have unit logos that were hand drawn in the 1980s... Some of those unit insignia... yeah.

Actually I think the Greater Valkyrate has already a recruitment video out for exactly that purpose. At least I think it was from the Greater Valkyrate, not 100% sure there... Especially noteworthy their epic jumpship at about 1:05...

While well done, military logos DO tend to be flad, as they're typcally spray painted onto the unit using templates. So your logos look good, but not realistic for a military unit.

Something I never thought to stop and think about when pondering unit insignias.

Well, we already have "No Glasses 3-D" So why can't we spruce up our logos by the year 3049?

The only thing I really missed was a unit slogan near the end, giving the whole advertisement some more meaning. Something for the audience (your contractor) to chew on. Otherwise, nicely done...

@Dlardrageth: Wow... I watched that... and must say, my ears bleed and I think my brain shrinked 2 inches in circumference. It's less an advertisement as more psychological warfare / torture (instead of playing bagpipes when marching into battle... broadcast that song^^).
