18 years old here, first played that epic game when I was five! I certainly remember how cool the arcade style graphics were back then, would still play MW2 if my computer supported it. That PPC sure was the highlight of the game, watching the blue-white ball of death evaporate into pixelated explosion! I will never forget the wail of those awful crit-loss alarms, the obnoxious heat warnings, or the feeling of helplessness after being legged with no hope for rescue.

Could I be the youngest to post on this thread so far? I didn't realize BT consisted nearly exclusively of the middle age adult population.

I think you just might be! You beat me by a year. :o

I am 23. The first PC my family got was some Win98 Compaq, and my Dad bought me Mechwarrior 2: Titanium Edition because he said it looked cool and had robots, so no blood. That was how it all started. Soon after I bought MechCommander 2 but it didn't run on my PC, eventually got Babbages to give us a refund. 2 years later I re-bought MechCommander 2 because I had built my own better PC and remember reading the manual and loved the complexity. Wow, turns out it was the simple game! And so began my delve into the Battletech universe, and I have an avid Mechwarrior: Dark Ages miniatures collection but sadly those went out of production.

I guess im the old girl here. im 32 years old and have been playing btech for longer than most of you have been alive.. I got my start in the Btech universe with Infocomms Battle Tech Crescent Hawks Inception circa 1988. I spent weeks playing that game and then moved on to crecents hawks revenge.... then moved on to the simulation and table top.. I have been a dedicated warrior since then. boys don't let the pony tail fool you... I am a true mech warrior.

Warning I have PMS and a LBX-AC 20 Make my day........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im the last of my clan =FD= Wulf-Ette™ (much love to all my awol Devils)

I'm 18 and I've been a member of MekTek in one form or another for over 5 years.
I started playing Mechwarrior 2 and earthsiege when I was 6. I'm not sure which, but one of them was the first game I ever played.
I have very fond memories of both. Those were the good ol' days. (I was so bad I remember asking my mother where the Q key was for some train mission)
Mechwarrior has always been my favorite franchise.
but Mechwarrior 3 was my favorite of them all and is really what sold me on Battletech :)
am I the youngest to have Nostalgic experiences with MW2?

37. our group got into the TT early on and used to have weekly campaigns there was 10 of us, and we setup on a tworking HO scale train table one of the guys had. used a ruler to measure hex distances and LOS and battled each other. quite a few times we used legos to create entire cities to fight in with our minitures and as buildings got destroyed we tear them down and add the legos to the street as rubble. when the computer games came out our group played all of those too. when i saw MWO forums were up i sent personal invites to the old crew to join in on the fun.

I'm halfway through my 20th year of life and I still remember MW2. In fact, I have my MW2 Pentium Edition copy in the desk drawer next to me. =3

18!
I suspect I'm one of the younger people here.
First game was Mechwarrior 2. My older brothers picked it up, but I ended up playing it the most.
I remember stomping around the playground pretending to be a mech, if that says anything about my age back then.
Didn't get a new computer til about 2003 so I played the crap out of it. Sad part was finding out the new Mac couldn't run it. It was sad for a long time. A couple of years back, I found an old iMac at my church nobody was using, so I got to set it up and got to relive childhood for a bit. THAT was a kicker. Being able to watch that intro again after all those years was a combination of Nostalgia and Awe.
Goodness, I loved that game.
