I believe one of the forum mods mentioned it was "working as intended"......no idea why though lol

The option is NOT a 'remember me' or 'keep me logged in forever'

It keeps you logged in as long as you are still on mwomercs.com

Working as intended.

Ïts working as intended.

If you do not use the "Keep me logged in" option, you will get automatically logged out after 10-15 minutes.
If you use that option you will remain logged in as long as you have the MWO website open.

It will not keep you logged in when you close the site or navigate away from it.
It will not automatically log you in next time you open the page.

It will only keep you logged in as long as you are on the MWO websites.

I consider this an annoyance as well.

Why can't we log in and save our information so we don't have to re-log every time we visit the site?

It's a security feature, to ensure that people don't just walk up to your computer and start spending your money on things or otherwise messing with your account.

If your browser is set to just save your login info, it's all of two clicks to log back in.

It's not just keeping the MWO site open, but rather being somewhat active on the MWO site. clicking on links, opening new threads and so forth. After about 10-15mins of inactivity you'll have to log back in. Chrome users can have it remember the password for you but that never seemed to work for me (at least with the old website) on Firefox. I don't IE.

Thus eliminating any supposed "security".

The more rational explanation is that they designed a forum that has "active" users but did it poorly, thus "logging you out" (expiring your cookie and session) rather than simply tracking how long it's been since you performed an action and deeming you "logged out" as far as the forum is concerned when it's displaying that info at the bottom.

And people wonder why hit detection in the game is so bad ;)
