Hello everyone
I was wondering if anyone has heard any concrete speculation on whether the Thor will be in game, and if so will it still be able to maintain that wonderful 360 degree torso movement. Thanks for any rumors, facts, and help!

This is from this forum thread
You have to wait for the clans to become a playable faction though.

Hey just know that you have a Summoner lover on the inside. If there is a clan mech we will have it is the Summoner! Perfect brawler, fairly quick and with Jump Jets but enough of a punch as well. Can't wait. Centurion will tide me over

Wait for clans. No mech has a 360 torso movement. There is always a blind spot directly behind the mech that your guns cant shoot. You can see (in theory) due to 360 holographic vision, just not shoot unless you have rear mounted weapons. which very few mechs mount.

The Rifleman can twist 360 can't she? Or something about her arms going up and then coming back down on the other side.
Gray Noton used this tactic against Justin Allard before he went to Solaris and all that didn't he?

Flipping the arms and torso twisting 360 degrees are two different things.

'Mechs without lower arm and hand actuators, like the Rifleman, can reverse their arms to fire backwards, which is what Gray Noton did. There aren't any rules for more than one hexside (60 degrees) torso twist in the standard BattleTech tabletop rules, but I'm not sure if there's any unit that can do so in the fluff and/or advanced rules (Seems like a good idea for a StratOps Quirk).
EDIT: Aha, just checked and there is an extended torso twist Quirk (and also one for 'Mechs with no torso twist at all) in StratOps, though it only lets you twist up to two hexsides and not all the way back. Not sure which 'Mechs that would apply to, though.
