Tried to find out if this would be one of the mechs if not I for one would love this bad boy perfect balance of speed armor and power.
makes me miss my ole boxer variant ;(

Well, the Devs have stated that they intend to stick rather closely to BT canon (more so than has been the case with previous MW games).
The Shadow Cat is a Clan OmniMech first encountered by the IS at the Battle of Luthien in January of 3052.
Since the game starts from the perspective of the IS in the summer of 3049, it seems unlikely that it will be one of the 'Mechs available at launch.
Moreover, as the Clans waited until near the end of the initial invasion (the Battle of Turkayyid was held through May of 3052) to field it, it seems likely that they hadn't developed it until shortly before that point, so it probably wouldn't be one of the initial Clan 'Mechs either...

i see i thought they were starting after the timeline of battletech well that makes more sense hopefully we will get it eventually then =D

2052... hmm... eventually. 
As for the real date, if they won't introduce any fast forwadrs to some interesting points in the lore, you'll have to wait till 2015.
