Your design is actually shares a similar profile with mektek's own panther head redesign for MW4, with a protruding snout, canine teeth and eyes.

Got a link to theirs? I can't seem to find it, and I could use more ideas.

Don't get me wrong, it's a really awesome render, but I hope it's not in the game. I found the panther to be a bit useless, I mean sure it has PPCs but for it's weapon load it's a really big target.

Well, the Panther should be a good city fighter, it has a good armor load for a light mech (more than many mediums) and jump jets, as well as that nasty cannon and SRMs. I believe it was designed as a fire support mech for light lances though, raining down PPC shots on enemies from afar while the rest of the lance maneuvers and uses their shorter range weaponry in closer, similar to what you'd use an LRM mech for, but without the ammo dependency at long range.

I like it because it's a native mech to the FRR, and because it's the littlest assault mech  Haven't had much time to play with my redesign lately though.

Then don't use it? Or are you just trolling?

Either way, I used a Panther almost exclusively in MPBT3025. It has decent speed, nothing crazy. Jump jets, and in MPBT with directional JJs (not just up forward or backward then down), SRM-6 and a PPC... This thing shreads all other lights.

Custom Panther: replace the SRM 4 for Med Lasers and use the save tonage to upgrade the engine and/or jump jets. You now have a jumpy Wolfhound with a PPC.

Like ur Panther OP, actually one of my fav. Light Mech B)

This makes me think, the Dev should make a Fan Art Contest, "pick your Mech/Variant and show us the Mech you want in game"

Could be a nice way for the community to Resee the Unseen/Reseen Mouahahaha...

Think about it, 1st prize ? Your Concept Art gets to make it in game for all to buy with M-Bill... yea ?!?

Dam, I have to go and make a new Suggestion Post now...

Personally I think its a nice style, but the side torsos are waaay too big. It looks like a gorilla.

it's a neat design, but reminds me more of a BattleCobra than a Panther. It should just be his own design.
