Did you have a favorite weapon in any of the other mechwarrior games?

Mine was the LBX AC 10 from MW4 (Shotgun version of the AC 10). I would stick 6 of them on my Daishi (or Mad Cat II, its been too long) and preform hit and runs. 1 round would generally decimate a single section of armor. It was even better in the no heat matches, because everyone would wear the laser resistant armor. 1 or two shots would kill just about anyone.

Medium lasers in MW3. Chainfired 4-5 of them to make a burst machinegun effect. Excellent when hunting a heavily damaged section of an enemy.
Kept the heat low too. Used a single PPC and AC 10 alongside that.

RAC 5, MRM and SRM and the (U)AC-10.

No, I don't like the pink long range sniping weapons or any kind of flashlights.

I have no real favourite weapon in any MechWarrior game besides Living Legends. Every other game, it was just a favourite weapon of convenience.
However, on Living Legends, I was rather fond of the Man-Portable PPC. Yes, the one for power armour.
I used it to snipe at 'mechs, made them run away because they couldn't see/hit me back.
That, and the Micro Heavy Laser, or something like that. It was fun, jumping around 'mechs many time my size, stripping off armour, with them unable to hit me.
One time, it took three 'mechs to eventually kill me, after at least five minutes of sustained firing and jumping around. Managed to hold the flank long enough for missile units to move into bombardment range. Shame they got a lucky hit and killed me, though.

twin ac20 was a favourite of mine, even a single ac20 is enough to ruin any mech pilots day

in MW4 mekpak, my favorite load out was a madcat with a heavy Gauss, Cap-recharge-Light PPC, with two LBX-5's.. that thing was fun, and made pilots think quick, and if they had normal ping, i was knocking them around enough to dance around and through a line, while giving them a nice bop to the chin or cheek with my Gauss..

in MW4 it was the Clan LBX-20, used them on all chassis i liked.
second weapon of choice was the Clan AC5.

in mek-tek-mod (i think it was that) it was the RAC-20...

My favourite weapon by far has always been the Clan medium pulse laser. For the board game having a weapon that weighs in at one ton, has almost the same fire power as an Inner Sphere large laser with bonus's to hit too, cant beat it.

I cant decide between the HyperVelocity AC/5, the Silver Bullet Gauss Rifle, or the Plasma Rifle. I've had crazy fun with all of them.

On a side note: a couple weapons I want to like and wish were completely reworked from the ground up, both mechanically and statistically, are the Binary Laser and the Bombast Laser. These were great concepts that were horribly realized- like someone wanted these to fail.

You should try the Heavy Large Laser then. I hear it hits pretty hard. :D

Generally speaking, ppcs and gauss rifles. My dream configuration back in my mechwarrior 2 days was a Warhawk with 2 gauss rifles and 2 erppcs.

I have a preference toward balistics due to thier low heat. The size was more dependent on the chassie in MW4 Mercs. Though the PPCs always hit hard when heat was less of an issue.

Also, I have a Dragon design for TT that is complete custom with UAC-10, 3 Med Lasers, and 2 SRM-4s. Gutted a Stalker with it.

Arrow IV, hands down.

I had them on my Raven, Vulture, Catapult, Mad Cat, Masakari (2 t-bolts and one cluster) and even Daishi (in concert with 2 gauss and 2 ppc, used for dumbfiring at people trying to get out of cover).
Except triple-A4 Kodiak. ******** i hated that configuration.

I understand TT A4 doesn't work as it did in MW4 but there is CPLT-C3 so y'all better get some vaseline.
