"Roger that Watchdog, Fall back to the field base, We'll finish them up." Watchdog in his raven goes limping past Steven's Axeman, Almost as if it was guided, A swarm of Large Lasers, RAC/10s, and LRMs comes flying by, hitting the raven in the back and taking it down almost immediately." Damn, Watchdog is down, Alright, Blaze, Move to that hilltop 200 meters to your left and rain some **** down on those sleezy dracs, Me, Claymore, and Goof will move in spearhead like." "Affirmative Lead" ringed over the intercom. Claymore in his Atlas, Goof in his Mauler, and Steven in his Axeman go in guns blazing. First thing they encounter on radar is a Tai-Sho, Two ER PPCs and 1 Ultra AC/10. The Atlas quickly over powers it with support from the custom built Mauler, with it's 2 medium pulse lasers, 2 LRM 5s, and 2 LBXAC/20s. Suddenly Stevens Axeman is hit by laser fire from behind, as he turns his 'mech around to face his enemy, he is greeted with the steel blade of the No-Dachi swinging from above, He moves his axe to block the sword only a couple meters above his cockpit, the two mechs are locked together in a grudge match, both too close to fire any weapon systems.The No-Dachi outweighs the Axeman by 5 tons, the Axeman is struggling to fight back. His helmet lights up with seemingly endless warnings from his right arm, Then from the right, Claymore comes in and sideswipes the No-Dachi, ripping off its arm, only to be greeted in return with a barrage of SRMs, PPCs, and a medium laser as the 'mech falls to the ground. In the distance the Catapult is seen engaging a Panther at long distance. The No-Dachi moves its arm to fire off a PPC blast. Steven moves and brings his axe down on the No-Dachi's cockpit, instantly killing the pilot. He turns around to find Goof in a firefight with a mix of heavy tanks and a Sunder, Claymore notices the danger and engages the heavy tanks in an attempt to help the badly hurt Mauler. The Atlas has lost an arm and has high damage to the leg and right torso. His massive AC/20 is still functional and blasting away. Steven fires off his medium lasers, Large pulse laser, and AC/20. Again, He is hit from behind by a pair of Panthers. They are targeting his Axe arm, but Steven turns his torso and blows one panther on its back with a round from his AC/20, he turns to greet the other Panther with a swing of his axe, only to find it already destroyed by a swarm of LRMs from the catapult. The first Panther gets on its feet and fires off another AC/20 round to finish him off. Suddenly over the intercom "Lance leader this is Blaze! I'm taking heavy fire over here! Heavy damage and low ammo!" "Roger that Blaze, Hold your position, We're on our way!, Claymore! Goof! I'm setting her position as Nav Alpha, Double time it there now!" As the battle worn trio makes their way over the ridge line, they are greeted by what looks to be a full blown company of 'mechs. They can see the crippled Catapult being torn to shreds, As Blaze ejects, Her cockpit is caught by the hand of a Grand Dragon. The intercom erupts with the voice of the enemy lance leader,"Surrender you dogs, and we might let you live."
Steven ponders it, when Blaze comes over the intercom, "Steven, You fight for house steiner, Do not let this battle, and those fallen before us, go down in vain, I do not want to be known in the history books as the one put in a prison for years after a battle, Lets show these ******* what they're messing with, Down to the last missle, the last shell, and the last inch of armor." "You heard her boys, It's been an honor serving with you." "You too Steven." "Heh, Deja Vu eh?" At that moment, Blaze opens the hatch and fires a shoulder fired SRM missle into the cockpit of the enemy 'mech, Killing the pilot instantly and dropping her pod the the ground. Steven watch as a nearby Grand Dragon steps on the cockpit, Killing her instantly. "Lets go boys!" "FOR STEINER!" Steven strides in at full speed, Blasting away with whatever he had left, Swinging his axe taking legs and arms and whole cockpits down with him. He takes an Arrow IV to the leg actuator, and hes down on the ground still blazing away with his Lasers and AC/20, Goof takes down two 'mechs, after taking a Gauss Rifle to the cockpit. Claymore gets blasted with a barrage of LRMs, PPCs, Gauss Rifles, and laser fire. His 'mech glowing brightly, Steven knew he was going to go critical, and he watched Claymore's Atlas takes down at least 5 nearby 'mechs and severely damaging many others. Steven's the only one left, And he makes sure he goes down swinging. After 4 minutes of intense fighting, His Axe arm blown off, His AC/20 out of ammo and his medium lasers destroyed, He fights the seemingly endless horde of 'mechs with just a large laser, but even the great Steven Hill couldn't take down that many 'mechs. He eventually to the best of our knowledge was taken out by going critical and taking down multiple 'mechs with him. That's the end of Steven's Rattlers, but we remember them through this story in defense of our planet. For House Steiner!
