I miss the ORIGINAL videogame... Battletech.
I had it on my Amiga... on a floppy disk. Game was damn hard, kept it fun, kept you trying to do all you could to survive... sure, it was 2D like a pokemon game, but it was great fun.... *Sigh* I miss the classics... Wish I could still find it...

A game I miss: BattleTech

Old Times =)
But has anybody ever seen a Round base Startegie Game which actually took BT Table Top and just transferred it on the Computer. Something you could play LAN or per Internet with a friend or more.
Turn based and hex field.
But then there would be the problem with the dice an computer based rnd algorithem, can't beat throwing a pair of dice =)
If somebody has seen something like that plz tell.

uhm, not sure, but you could try VASSAL
i know i used to play WH40K on it, and there were modules for other games, can't remember if Btech was on the list, but might be worth checking out

It was all about playing the stock market - I had the Inferno SRM and full training for it along with the best armor by the time the Dracs destroyed the Citadel. Then I hightailed it out of there with my shiny Chameleon 'Mech, like the only non-light 'Mech in the game.

I always liked MegaMek when I played it. I need to get back into it. Who would be up for some matches?
I know I would probably get stomped... haven't played in years and years.

Ah man, here I was thinking table top.
And by the way, Megamek is the way to go. I learn rules every time I play, and they have sooooooo many mechs included. (I try out a new one every once in a while.)
On a randomish note, has MWO started anyone back on the TT, mechcommander, MW, etc?

Played some TT 2 weeks ago, for the first time in at least 15 years, great fun.

From your original post I was thinking you were talking about MechForce for the Amiga.
If you are looking for Battletech Crescent Hawks Inception or Crescent Hawks Revenge you can usually pick them up on Ebay for a pretty good price. I picked up the Power Hits collection (has both Crescent Hawks games and Mechwarrior) and other then Mechwarrior can play them using Win7.

I also played Battletech - Crecent Hawk's Revenge. It was on my 286er... oh you can legally get it as Abandonware now, will run under DosBox. But i missed that one (and the first part of course) in the beta application signup formular... Yes, there are gamers older than 24 years ^^
