Can you tell me how you tested it? Using a ohm meter and checked for continuity between the poles with the switch both on and off? Not sure why you would have an intermittent signal from the Teensy unless there were something wrong with it. I know you can set it up to give out a pulse rather than a constant on but the pulse would be rhythmic, etc.

I tried to configure a few macros for announcements to teammates and the other team using AutoHotKey and while they worked on notepad they failed to function in the game.... so I would love to find an answer to this if there is one

This may or may not be relevant, but have you tried running AHK as administrator? I have not used it myself which is why I am asking.
