So where's the news article telling us how the Zeus has been delayed due to a fire on Hesperus II?

That's cool and all, but unless we get to drive those Savannah Masters, I'm dissapointed that this isn't our next, and seemingly-overdue, 'mech

They never promised mechs every month or two weeks. They were on that schedule for a while, but seeing as how the in game ones aren't nearly caught up to the number of portraits, it doesn't matter.

A long time ago when I played the boardgame, the Savannah Master was an awesome unit, get a few of them and frustrate mech pilots as they were practically unhittable.

That's a bloody shame. A dozen Savannah Masters can cause quite a bit of trouble for enemy positions, even BattleMechs, if the little hovercraft focus fire and don't get hit.

Ouch, a company worth of light hovercraft gone. They may not seem like much on paper, but trying to take 'em on is annoying and I love having 'em around for support.

If the Commando is Lyran battle armour, what's the Savannah Master? Lyran rollerskates? :)

Picture this. I was in a on the Marik border during the 4th Succession War. On a Water Planet (All lvl 0 was level 1 water, Level 2 was level 0). Our company was moving to our objective when a company of these things came out of no were. With only half of our Mech was sticking out of the water. So every Mech took Medium Laser fire to their cockpit ( 5 or 10 pionts of damage to a location that only has 9 external and 3 internal). 2 heavy Mech pilots died before we could force what was left of them away.

(Original TT rules said that all mechs in level 1 water were consider as partially exposed. You rolled 1d6 for every shot that hit. A 6 meant the head armor took damage.)

Two words, Hang them! These things are great I once had the opportunity once to take thirty of them in a campaign they tore through everyone that I hit with them. They never saw them coming as they rolled out of cover just as the enemy came into range of my archers and catapults. Hah! good times.
