Hey guys!

I was going to buy a founder pack soon im not sure yet which mech to take if I get the 60$ one. Now I have reconized that the Founders Program is closing on September 6th. Will I lose all things from the founder pack like credits and stuff once its over? Will I lose my founders tag on the official release and also my mechs or credits?

Btw: Can you guys recommend me one of the founder mechs?

Your question and grammar is kinda loose. Not sure what you mean by (I assume you meant lose) "all things from the founder pack... once its over," but if you purchase it now, you'll always have what was given in it, until you spend the in-game money and the premium time runs out, which gives you extra XP and such, that you can refresh the time of later on.

Of course you wont lose your benefits as soon as the game goes life. In fact you basically are buying the packs in order to GET these bonuses. The fact that you get instant beta access with them is just another plus point.

As for mech recommendation: it all depends on your favourite playing style. Apart from that: go for the atlas since it's 1) decent and 2) the (currently) most expensive mech in the game (thus you'll get the best price/value ratio for your bucks).

Yeah it's mentioned in a Dev Blog somewhere, but it may also be the most expensive to repair/upkeep. I like the Atlas personally but I love playing the Tanking Bear in WoW.

I recommend taking the $120 option - All of the founder mechs are great.

60$ pack is the best value if you are tight on money, but if you have the spare cash to burn I would say the 120$ pack.

When mech you should choose for your founder pack depends on your playstyle really.
As others have aid you get the most value for your money if you buy the Atlas.

Before you buy the founders pack I would like to offer some advice for you as well, some advice I like to she with everyone who consider buying a founders pack.

If you buy a founders pack, you will also get access to the current CLOSED BETA.

If you consider buying a founders pack, I recommend you take the time to read some of the Information on the packs and make an informed decision, and not just buy blindly to get into beta.

This is a real beta and not a preview of how the game will be when released.
Do not expect the game to be feature complete, bug free and expect performance issues.

Many have blindly bought the founders pack only for the beta access thinking they will see a "pre-release Demo" and not an actual beta, and get so disappointed they come to the forums and rage over how this game is buggy and whatnot and make blatant uninformed statements about how the game will fail.

All feedback is welcome, both positive and negative, but you will get far better responses if you are constructive with your feedback, and not post threads that just boils down to "This game sux", or you will get the community telling you "Its Beta".

Before you post feedback, take the time to read the stickies(Pinned) and other information around the forums, as in all likelihood the things you want to bring up has been explained already.
Dont let that discourage you from adding your opinion on things though, as long as you are constructive about it.

I'm not trying to discourage you from buying the packs, just trying to help you understand what you are getting when buying the packs.

Hope you will take this advice in the spirit it is offered, and that you find it helpful.

As Dragonlord stated, this is a true beta. There are going to be problems, but that is what this is for. Participation in the Beta lets you get your hands on the game faster, and also helps the Devs out because you are finding problems before this game goes to Open beta, or even full launch. As for Founders packs it comes down to a few choices.

- The cheapest Founders pack (Veteran - $30) gives you 1 month of "Premium" status (More C-Bills, more XP), $40 worth of MC which is what you would spend money to get, and of course Beta Access. The big appeal to this package is that last point, Beta Access. It's a good way to get in early if you have a tighter budget.

-The middle package (Elite - $60) is widely considered the best "bang for your buck". It doubles everything you got in the Veteran package, and gives you one Founders mech (Founders mechs have a special colour scheme, and give bonus C Bills and XP, but only when you launch with that mech specifically). This is what a lot of people are getting because at $60 you're essentially paying retail price on any popular game.

-The last package is the Legendary and comes in at $120. You get 1 extra month of Premium status over Elite, all 4 Founders mechs and inclusion in the MWO credits. What you're mostly paying for at this level is all 4 Founders mechs. If you have the money and like all 4 of them, then this is for you.

In the end it comes down to how much do you think you want to spend on this game before you've seen it, and what are you looking to get out of it. These Founders packs are a great way to support the Devs as the game is being made and as a bonus you get to play the game before most of the world does. It will also give you a bit of a leg up because come Open Beta you'll have more in game experience and thus will be further along the learning curve than those who waited. I do recommend the Elite package (it's what I got after all) because you get A LOT of stuff for that $60.

Initially I wasn't planning on buying the pack......I changed my mind, and to be honest I really don't regret it. If you have the money for it, buy the $120 one, if not the $60 one. Sure the in game currency will run out (just like RL ;p), and yes so will the 3 months of xp bonuses, but the mechs you get are forever (forever of course being relative to how long this game will exist, but meh..)

I also was not planning on buying the pack until I saw the video's relased and it reminded me of what I missed so long ago and re-ignited my mech lust. I don't regret my purchase in the least and look forward to this game beoming the reality that is envisioned by the devs.

I personally feel it is worth it; and yes, you can upgrade later (until sept 6th)

It's hard to reccommend a founder mech without knowing how you like to play, but at least if you take an Atlas you will have an easier time purchasing the other mechs (instead of picking a cheap mech and buying an Atlas). But, if you simply do not like big/slow/tanky play then don't bother with a founder Atlas if you won't ever use it!

Honestly, don't have that mindset that choosing the other 3 founders 'Mechs over the expensive Atlas is of any less value. The Atlas costs ~10 million C-Bills, which doesn't take long to get in the first place. I've toppled many Atlases in the cheap Jenner, so if you want to play sort of a ninja playstyle, take the Jenner. If you want to brawl in close battles, take the Hunchback. Want to rain down missiles from afar? Catapult.

get the 30$ founders pack to start with if you really want to participate in the beta testing

then you'll be able to figure out which founders mech you like the most and spend another 30 later

Yes you will be able to upgrade later if you want to, but 6th Sept is your last chance to upgrade, thats when the sale of the packs ends and they will NOT be available again in the future.
Founders packs are a 1 time only opportunity.
