*cough cough*
anyhow....
I'd like to be able to tweak paint to a considerable extent... but for a completely different reason.
...
maybe a kilt on an atlas, or a tail on an Uller/kitfox, or just drawing lighting shaped things on my PPCs.

Interestingly enough, when BT was "conceived", stuff like piercings i.e. were pretty much a non-issue in public. That having changed, with a complete freedom in paintjobs, we could see some rather "interesting" ones on the battlefield... As in "never envisioned by the creators of BT", hehe.

Well, there are always mercenary bands. They can afford paint, and probably have enough imagination to slap it on a 'mech. I'm rather new to this franchise, so I'm not sure if canon is an issue here at all.
Again, the nipples will keep me sated.

It would be great if they had a skin system like say Forza 4 or something like that however I think that would allow far too much freedom to abuse (think naked pinup girls or giant F.U icons or whatever).
The logo generator will probably be two fold; one will be preset (you can paint your house logos on your mechs etc. etc.) and the second will be a system much like EVE had in the early days. A few layers where you could slap in premade elements and hope that it looks half decent.
As for the paint jobs itself? That I can't see them restricting too much since color can't really get you in trouble. I am sure we will see a great deal of hot pink MLP machines out there!

I swear if i see a battlemech with a purple paintscheme and a pony in my team, i'm gonna unload all my weapons on it, just to punish its pilot's lack of good taste. Period.
