[Needle Fingers]

So i was browsing the random places of the web chucking in random phrases left, right and everywhich way and i stumbled upon something quite interesting.

A kickstarter page for a game idea called Planetary annihilation, apparently it's being made by the some of the guys who made Total Annihilation. Now i played Total annihilation back in the day and enjoyed every moment of it, and this has got me amped.

Anyone else here play/played Total annihilation?
Always been my favourite RTS between robots and explosions *goes misty eyed*

It's nice to meet a fellow TA fan, and to bide the time before this beauty comes out, Try TA Escalation, fan made modpack that refines EVERYTHING. You just need CC.

I am eagerly awaiting this game. Total TA fan here. I played TA to DEATH back in the day. LAN parties, skirmishes even mods like 5k units.

Yes I used to play TA a lot! Still have the game and expansions. Also have Supcom + FA. I have donated (or however you call it) to the kickstarter program for this new game, very excited!

Played Total Annihilation, the Sup Com games, but my favorite RTS was, and still is Company of Heroes.

Great graphics, good AI, and a territory control system with lines of supply that made you think.

They've announced CoH2 as well, and I'm looking forward to that

I too played TA and Sup com.... I currently still play SupCom with the Sorian AIX mods, and the Blackops/Tex Enhancements mods... Always lookin for more players. Too bad SupCom2 was lame.

The Kickstarter states that July 2013 is the delivery time for all of the goodies. So I'd say everyone who 'just' bought the game will be in July 2013, although those who spend more to get into Beta or even alpha will be in earlier.

Well it just passed the goal! Looks like this is going to be a reality!!!!!!!

With about 1200$ to go, I'd say the Gas Planets are safe.

They released the fourth stretch goal today: A PGalactic Annhihilation Meta Game for Single and Multiplayer purposes. Will be implemented if Kickstarter reaches 1.8 Million $. With only seven days to go, thats a rather ambitious goal and I don't think it'll work out. The next goal is Lava and Metal planets (metal planets being orbital stations from long ago) for 1.5 Million $. That goal could be possible and I hope it will be reached. (More planet types and more units equals more fun!)

Cracked 1.3 not more then a minute ago. Lava/metal deffinantly looks to be on the cards at this rate. However 1.8 does seem abit..... ambitious, even if it isn't reached i hope they offer it as DLC down the track.

The galactic war stretch goal feels a little far off.

Though I'm gonna hold out a naive hope that even if they don't make it on kickstarter, they make up the difference in paypal donations and we get it anyway. Woot woot.

Yeah, I really hope we somehow get the Galactic War. That would improve the game very, very much. ( Although I am not quite sure how they then want to put the whole game together until July next year).

At least a DLC for some bucks should be made avaiable later on. Maybe with a discount depending on how much you pledged.

Lets hope that the paypal donations will be enough to get the whole beyond 1.8 Million after the Kickstarter is finished. Galactic Wars would be so friggin awesome!

I can't wait for Galactic Warfare.

Are there even any RTS games coming out soon anyway?
Right now I only have CoH2, End of Nations, and Generals 2 on my Radar.
But Relic has been meh with their games lately and to me CoH2 looks more like a money grab to me, EA doesn't handle f2p that good, so meh to Generals, too.
Are there any other I should know about?
