I think later in the game development you guys should implement a skill ladder system which matchmaking is based on skill by a tonnage system, (example: If a Player is super good with a light class he/she can play higher skill tier, but if a Player is not so good as a heavy he/she would play in a lower one) but the Players should have the option to play in a tier one higher then their's with a ranking point boost.
Skill points should be based off accuracy, kills, assisted kills, component destruction, spotted targets, and damage done on an average of everyone else's latter and a max amount of "ranking points" per match would be rewarded to the MVP per say (or even give the MVP from both teams a bonus).
Penalties should be issued for any blue on blue instances, which would be calculated at the end of the match. So if a player comes in the game and starts straight out fratricide by the end of the match he should have negative points. Also a penalty should be issued to players who haven't been on in a while.
Which brings me to the negative point system. If you're the first to die, die in under a certain time frame, do no damage, disconnect early, or maybe some other negative things you should be penalized for those in fractions.
The ranking system should be with different ladders ie Practice Mode (Optional to Skip and without any ranking points and you can come back to at anytime without ranking costs) you have to complete a certain amount of matches before moving into the real skill ladder, then maybe a Bronze, Iron, Steel, Titanium, and Platinum modes.
I'm sure the Devs could work out a better system and this is all just a suggestion and I'm sure people who play on a regular basis wouldn't want a known TK or new guy playing on their team. Make it so people have to earn who they play with (If your a big dog you play with the big dogs) You guys get the drift, I'm going to get off this rant and let the Devs back to what they do.
Matchmaking best on player Ranking/Skill & Tonnage

no i dont agree with this it should be what merc corps and house units bring to the fight with the chosen team of the participating units command teams regardless of skill and its up to the command leaders of the teams to find and choose lonewolfs they would want to join their team if not full team only way your idea would be feasable is if it was for lonewolfs or just a quick battle with no stakes on the line as well the penalty system you speak is unfair to a rookie warrior who joins in with his team for first match and dies right away it dosnt seem logical to punish the inexperienced
