Wow, amazing write up, would love to see more like this in the future.

In fact, this would be a great way to introduce new content right before it comes out :D

I need to protect those Mechs, but they’re closer to the enemy than me. So I tell them to meet me at the right bridge, and fall back behind cover wherever possible. I ask the Jenner to harass the enemy rear as much as he can, which he obliges.

+1 btw on the idea of introducing new content like that, that should look awesome.

And the story is truly showing what are the light mechs for, in case sb asks!

The over glorification of Jenners and Atlases is reeeally too much.

i think you have a typo in the title.

it should have been spelled like: "another average day without the announcement for battlemech 16"

My years of Counter-Strike clan matches serve me well (IE. I use shorthand.) Inc Hunch Cata RB (right bridge), kinda thing.
Thanks for the comments everyone, glad you liked it ;)

As for my love of Jenners, it's a personal taste for quick'n'fast classes. I'm always the TF2 Scout, TIE-Interceptor/A-Wing, 'Rogue/Thief' AD&D class, and so on. Also I didn't pick the Atlas for the story, it happened when I was in an Atlas. I've seen people do the same in other Mechs, but that's a tale for another time...

Beautiful,

It just goes to show that when players are willing to play their role and work together (with a good amount of pilot skill), anything is possible

I hope a re-play feature will be included in the final production, it makes those epic battles all the more epic when you can re-live them.

Yawn..... another Epeen Heroes tale.... all well and good but if this game ever makes it to open beta. These kind of stories will only apply to about 5% of the population. How about a more realistic story about 95% of the population? The part of the population we need to make this game survive and thrive. I know I know but it's closed beta. Yep it is but when the inevitable happens and the gates open to the great unwashed masses. This is not gonna happen most of the time. F2P majority would read this and say yeah right....
I really want this game to succeed. I just hope these kind of fluff fanboi fodder type of posts are not the norm when we go open beta. It will NOT help keep the players we need for the game to be around long term.
Of course this is my opinion and it is no better or worse then anyone elses.

Don't you love it when a scout actually does their job...and the meds job...and the assaults job... ;)

FTFY - That's ok, we're used to being under appreciated.

You're wrong, it's quite worse.

This isn't Mechwarrior Average:Online, we fight for the users, not the losers.

The story is a little misleading. It's very rare to see those mechs built the way they are in the fluff. It's also rare to see them performing the jobs for which they were intended.

Yes, i love when I do my job~ I wouldn't do it otherwise!

Being a scout or harasser can be a thankless job at times, always in the top 3 for dmg but never a single kill. KDR sucks but watching your teammates come back from the dead for a come from behind victory makes it a very sweet job. Don't under estimate a light mech!

Incredible match. Serious props to that scout for doing so much. Most scouts in my games are never quite as useful as they run for base caps D: Hope I'm in a game that good soon.

Yes! I'm in the 5%. Outstanding. :) Just posted my story in Beta OT. I've seen it happen a few times and finally had mine tonight.
