In the game, are any of the old clans going to be available? If so, will Ghost Bear be one of them?

Seeing as how this is going to be a strictly PvP experience at launch and the Clan invasion is sort of scheduled for the next year, it's likely that the Clans will be implemented, and that players will be able to play as clanners.
The major Clans in the MechWarrior games, like Ghost Bear, Jade Falcon and Smoke Jaguar (hah!) are probably going to be represented in greater detail than, say, Blood Spirit, if they make it into the game.
As of now the developers have yet to make a more definitive statement on the matter of Clans.

Since the Clan invasion is set for 3050, all of the Clans will be involved (those who won the right to invade anyway) and at the start of the Clan invasion, the Ghost Bears were a Crusader Clan, so you can count on having to fight them sometime along the game's progression.

That's another reason to join the FRR. Greater chance to salvage some Clan tech.

Yeah, well, how many are staying loyal to the Republic when the clanners come, though?
You know what it's like; people just love shaking down the better technology and are complete suckers for the whole 'elite warrior' premise of the Clans...
...I doubt any of the competitive mercenary companies and players will remain aligned with the powers of the Sphere once they're given the option to switch sides.
It won't be pretty.
