allo

I'm a 3rd person lover, slowly learning to deal with this widely accepted caustrophobia of being stuck in a cockpit with no camera drones, knowing that the sexy beast that is my mech is right there but the sexy bit of it is out of sight

Anyway...

To ease the pain, i had the brilliant idea of setting up eyefinity so all 3 monitors are used. It would be absolutely great if one was able to setup the graphics so the cockpit spanned across all 3 monitors.

That way, on a mech with 3 windows at least, it would seem that each monitor was its own window, looking at the outside world from a slightly different angle (have the monitors setup so middle is facing directly, and outside two are on angles)

Will MWO get the coding love it needs to be able to do this?

i very much hopes so!!

p.s - not trying to bribe or anything :) but love you long time $2 , give you firstborn child, all that stuff, for sexy panoramic view.

I also hope multi-screen is implemented. I think CryENGINE 3 is very capable of this, its just whether Pirana games choose implement it. It would strengthen the game if you could set customs views, especially if 1. you are a command unit and need to see both the battlefield and your current surroundings or if 2. your in close combat and need better peripheral vision especially seeing if someone is sneaking up behind you!

Exactly

I never felt that 1 monitor ever did mechwarrior Justice.

It also made me confuzed as hell as to the bitterness between 1st Person users and 3rd Person users (1st person calling 3rd person lame for having "extra" vision, 3rd person going.. ehh its a game etc etc) as if you realy were in the pilot seat of a mech (1st person's main defence was realism i believe) you'd have alot more than 3 monitor's vision, you'd have pretty much 180 vision, including the ability to look down at the ground at you're feet on some mechs that have the unique cockpit rather than trying to look out a small rectangle window at the world around you.

Fingers crossed its implimented :)

The thing I see with an extra moniter, is a blown up version of the current Battle Grid. Thus allowing me to be able to command more effectively. I would buy an extra touch screen monitor just if that was implemented.
