First off, no self respecting clansman would EVER, and I mean EVER, refer to the Timberwolf as the ******* Mad Cat. If you love the clans, then don't disrepect them by using the bastardized names.

Now that I'm off my soap box. I'm not really sure. I know what my favorite mechs are, but to denote one as a spirit mech might take some thought. I know the mech that always has and always will be my favorite is the Warhammer IIC. Love that bad boy. The Timberwolf would come as a close second.

Wolfhound, Packhunter, Solitaire.

But a Hunchback will suffice.

Either a summoner (multi-ranged) or a raptor II (ninja mech)

Actually the Sea Foxes come up with a newer model Timber Wolf that they name the Mad Cat just as a big FU to Clan Wolf.

And my spirit mech would have to be an Anubis despite my clan loyalties.

Well I'm loyal to Clan Wolf.

My favorite 'mechs are their most iconic 'mechs---the Dire Wolf and the Timberwolf.

I would have to go with the Night Gyr Prime. It has a a nice all around punch, is not ammo dependent, has a good amount of armor, and can jump jet up to 120 meters.

Well I got to admit, the Night Gyr is one amazing mech, probably overall better than the Timber Wolf. Not as fast as a Timber Wolf at only around 71 kph with speed tweak but 38 tons of pod space for weapons and DHS, plus it comes stock equipped with 4 JJs. Hell yeah it would probably be my first choice mech. Prime config is pretty good except I would rather drop out the 3 MPLs for 3 ER MLs + 3 extra DHS.

As far as for the mechs currently in game. Well the Crow knows hehe. Stormcrow hands down. Aside from lacking JJs it is my near perfect mech. Good firepower, good armor, good speed, good agility, good climbing. Granted it is a master of nothing but it is good enough at just about everything that it can adapt to virtually any situation required. Really kind of like a damn good swiss army knife hehe.

As much as I would love to say Kodiak, Timber Wolf, Ebon Jaguar, or even the War Hammer... The only mech that has never let me down in the course of 20 years of TT CBT/MechWarrior campaigns has been the Phoenix Hawk LAM PXH-HK2-M

No they did that to sell it to the IS because there the term mad cat is used.

If we're going to go THAT route, I choose the Lola III destroyer. Sure it doesn't carry many fighters, but it's quick and durable enough to get into, and out of, trouble without getting hurt too badly. Also, one shot from it's cannons will dissolve a Direwolf AND the asteroid it's standing on.

I do applaud you for thinking big, but they did ask for a mech.....

Actually the plans were drawn up by Clan Wolf and Smoke Jaguar got them through a trial. A later trial won by Clan Wolf got production rights back.
