plain and simple, signing up for beta access doesn't guarantee you closed beta access. i don't care if a guy signed up at 3:45pm, today, then got access at 4pm today. it's luck of the draw and that's it. if it upsets you so much, go play something else until open beta starts, probably in 3 weeks or so. if it really really really upsets you, go play something else and ignore the invite(CBT or OBT) when it comes in your email. while i don't intend to call you any names, it's just that simple. if you don't like the fact that random means random, then this probably isn't the game for you. and this probably isn't the community for you, either. most of us would prefer people who behave like adults and accept things they can't change as they are.

i will wait until open beta, unless lightning strikes and i get invited to CBT before then. i have been registered since around the time Founders Packs went on sale. so i've been waiting longer than you have and i have yet to complain about having to wait. there are plenty of other things you can do until Sept 21, or whenever OBT finally starts. same is true for me. so either find something to fill the time or start reading up on all the info you may find necessary once you do get to play.

I'm kinda new to the forum but not to MW. I don't care if I get a beta key right away or not, as long as I get to play eventually, ie f2p or open beta. Last game I beta'd was minecraft, loved the free classic when it was alpha, bought it in beta, still a fun game. MW is a nostalgia for me cuz i remember playing it on my computer running Windows 95. MW was awesome then as I hope it will be now. Can't wait for a key, or open beta :o

Been married 15 years now. Compared to that waiting for some randomiser to send me a key is nothing. So in the mean time I will just bide my time and sate my appetite on MW4.

I herd someone join the web site and received there beta key 3 weeks later (without founders Pack) and i registered month or more ago and no key. This is frustrating i played online for years and never seen a long beta key process. Well i will find something else to play World of planes, wot, mw3, bf3, cod4, bc2.

Have Fun Playing

PS- That is my comment for the day

The guy does have a point...have seen in game others that join online a week ago already with keys and they are not founders.

no, he doesn't have a point. yet another person who apparently doesn't understand the concept of random selection being random. any registered user can be selected at any time to be one of the new beta testers. that's what random means. how long you've been registered isn't a criteria for who is selected. otherwise anyone who has been registered for beta access for more than 6 months would already be in, even without a Founders pack.

He does have a point. As for the founders who are in, just look through the beta forums and see for yourself.

I've found over 20+ people who joined less than a week ago and are somehow in the beta.....

I feel your pain. I registered the first day it was avialable. But there is no way in **** I'm going to pay for a beta, so I'll check it out at launch I guess. No biggie. I got Guildwars 2 and its great so at least im not dwelling on it anymore.

anyone buying a founders pack IS going to be in beta right away. never mind people who attended gencon and got keys through a vendor there. add to that the IGN invites. you have no idea how they got their key, other than founders. plus, if a founder went to gencon or got an IGN key, they would have a spare they could easily give to a friend. so, assuming that people now in the beta got there by some nefarious deeds on the part of PGI is ridiculous. plenty of logical explanations. and he has no point. random is random. that means that he has the same chance as anyone else in the pool, should they draw names today. and tomorrow, he'd have the same chance as everyone in that pool, as of drawing time, then. it really is that simple. length of time spent waiting is given no weight in the selection process. if anything, computer specs would have an impact before anything else.

i dont even remember when i signed to beta, still nothing, in the meantime i get acces to beta wowp, and its great i even bought a good joystick to play it, i have a money to buy a founders pack, but i wont, right now is 2 many games in the market, good and bad, but to get my attention, i must enjoy when i play them, mwo have a good commercial, its a great game on vids, but is it realy? I dont know, but i know i wont buy cat in the bag. I lost oportunity to buy cheap premium mechs, so what 60$ its a lot of money to acces the game i know nothing about, and gives me nothing special. Dont worry if the game will be good, there would be many ocassions to buy premium stuff (greedy devs), but u will know why u bought stuff.

HUH?

Luck of the draw means just that...luck. I found the site back in JANUARY (of course I didn't realize I hadn't validated my email until may ---oops!) . Been waiting since then. Good things come to those who wait :) yeah I hate that quote too but it really does appear to be random. So take part in the discussions, read up and get ready to have fun and blow some stuff up!

I agree with OP... I signed up months ago and I told 2 friends of the beta sign up and they both got in before me.... Can't help but feel a little pissed off/ rejected... after all I'm the one telling people about this game and getting people to sign up...

Funny how many talk about being in Beta when they really shouldn't... but being a Founder everyone should understand we're in for a reason... we paid our way in... what does the Founder's Package offer the Devs? Money... money to pay their employees, pay for hardware needed for further development and management of servers... coffee... snacks... pizza... beer... and making sure their windows are washed weekly so they can see into the outside world from their office :)

And for those still wondering why they are not in Beta? Stop wondering... you're only causing yourself to stress for nothing... pay $30 plus for access before the 6th... or learn some patience... maybe also think if your computer can handle running the game without issue given the current specs required to run it :(

you have to love the perseverance of the entitlement kiddies, continuing to complain that "i signed up and invited others and they got in, but i didn't" and that they feel cheated because of that. how do you feel cheated that a random draw picked someone other than you? it's a RANDOM DRAW! honestly, if you're whining this much and you aren't even in the game yet, i really don't want to see what garbage you're going to trot out there if you ever do play it. if you can't be patient and wait your turn(regardless of when it comes), then you should probably go play something else. there are going to be too many times when you'll have to wait your turn, in this game, as with most others of similar configuration, and i doubt anyone here will want to listen to(read) all the whining that will go with your lack of patience. the last MW game came out more than 10 years ago. if you played it, you've waited this long for a new MW game. another month or so, for OBT, should be a cake walk. if it's not, well, feel sorry for yourself, because none of the rest of us are feeling sorry for you.

I just have one thing to say.

Might not have everyone who signed up on the site get in to beta be for they go OBT. As the number of signed up people probably exceds the CBT needed ammount there for just wait about a few more weeks is my guess and then OBT we all has some mech fun

F2P just buy this pack for 30-60-120$..... F2P my butt.

I am supppppper new to online gaming...I played Counter strike back in the day and mech warrior way back in the 90's.
If I get a beta code am I in or is it a reoccuring 30$ a month?
