In my wishlist is this game having an oldtech (3025) server. Since the reboot was announced (which evolved into this game) as happening in 3015, I've been hoping to leave the advanced tech behind and get back to the game's roots, when it was the most popular game in the world.

I think that they went for the Invasion era because the Timber wolf is probably the most recognizable mech out there.
I'd personally like to see a Clan vs Clan Golden Age server set in the Kerensky Cluster, it would give the other Clans a chance to shine.
It would also finally give Clan players a decent place to trial for rank and bloodnames.

Devs never stated they stick to 1:1 timeline
& 3049 can start with release or OBT
