I understand some of your concerns, but alot of your comparisons are based on lack of information and you being biased.

With Star Wars The Old Republic, I don't know if a single person who expected it to be first or third person. They advertised the game as an MMORPG, and that's what it is.
World of Tanks: Your missing the fact that you may get completely trumped in a match by someone, and then when that person goes into his next match he's getting rolled over. There is no perfect tank. It's all about skill and teamwork, and where to put the heavy. Just like Mechwarrior.

Now when you say old school, I hope you're not refering to MW4's system of "Everybody take the biggest thing you can, and let's really mess this franchise up." Don't get me wrong, I love mechwarrior........ but in the previous games there was no reason to play defensively, there was no reason to scout, there was no reason for teamwork at all. Other than all running into a moshpit.

No, this game will most likely not be like old school mechwarriors. It'll be better. It will be the next generation of our beloved franchise. :)

Would you rather pay a monthly subscription, sir? Atleast they allow us to play every tank but the premium ones for free. It just takes more time than if we payed.

Yet another one of these guys *your words lacking information*
I dont like people with prejudice no offence I got no reason say something laching infromation. We are all grown ups here.

The Old Republic is the worlds most expensive game project it took 3 years ofcourse first teaser all but a video teaser and sound recordings about saga.People tought they will get something similar to *Jedi Academy Jedi Knight* teaser video was nothing like a mmo and sound recordings were telling space battles, arena matches of Mandalore and Imperial spies which non of them have anything to do with game.

When I said old school I meant movement system and other elements. HEAT,TORSO TURNING,SPEED UPDOWN,POWER UP AND DOWN and JUMP JETS these are the old school in mech universe unlike MechAssault no heat no ammo purely fps.Mech Warrior 4 wasnt that bad as you said and I remember speed of light mechs were very usefull.

@GearBox
Some mechs do have hands not for punching, sometime only way to recover a mech husk was another mech.Back in years while Earth Hegemony was still alive they created IndustrialMech to aid under manpowered colonies and they were used almost in anything as a work force mulitpler. They had hands, saws and sort of stuff.Later Earth Hegemony Armed Forces fitted them with weapons but other colonies made them as military specialised.Very tall and heavy mechs used to carry other mechs when they cant move on their own or if*when* a salvage team isnt availbe.
http://youtu.be/YqzEssjkMeU?t=19m8s *Thats an AXEMAN one of the few mechs with hands*

[...] 2011 and 2012 were massive fail for gaming world. [...]

What are you talking about!? really? I dont know. You talk in circles.. and 2012 JUST STARTED! unless I really missed a whole year. Possible that half of what you wrote almost threw me into a brain coma.

Look before you start getting worried, why not hold thy serpent's tongue until you have something to be worried about beyond a few 'hey this is what we are thinking' posts from the Devs, and have an opinion after GDC when (IF) the game is actually put on display? The point is you cant criticize what you dont know. And to me it seems more like you looked at the tittles of the Blogs but did not read them. Or if you did read them, you did not think that they would actually deliver on what they say. So according your assumption is Dev's can and will say what ever they want and then do what ever they want even if it is not in line with what they say.

So please Stop Trolling For Unicorns!

No. I can not tell you this.

Mason.. there is already a 'wild speculation' thread, Can I ask that this one be merged into that?

At this point someone has to say this, you can say whatever you want about the developement cycle but it is most disheartening that we are not seeing visible signs of progress on this game. Artwork is all well and good but some more screenshots of announced mechs, cockpits and the like would make a 2012 release of this game appear more plausible. Vague referances to play testing and some nice drawings do not a game make. Put simply pics or it didn't happen.

First English isnt my native language please let me explain myself
I didnt mean the game is bad and on the contrary I read entire dev blogs and I loved the art work I visited them one by one but recently I saw how overly hipped games and their great promises turned into lies and realesed as unfinished products also some of them destroyed their own legacy and saga by having wrong way of design of their games. So I relayed my concerns about "what if this game turns out bad like others" but President himself came and cleared my concerns such a nice person actually cared about question of a gamer.

Side note even there was no website for MechWarrior Online at the times of 2009 *MechWarrior 5 reboot* even it was cancelled I didnt stop reading dev blogs of PGI while Duke Nukem Forever being worked out.

Last blog before this site opened was saying.Take heart dear fans dont give up hope we are making Mech tittle wait a little longer it will worth it.

Sadly I forgot his name I wasnt good with names.

About 2011-2012 issue
I meant games that realesed late 2011 and being played in 2012.Such as Battlefield 3,Skyrim,Mw3 and Shogun Total war 2 and Anno 2070

Well.. There are always going to be hit and miss games. I do not like the fact that SWTOR is a wow clone either.
But the fact remains, there is nothing that can alleviate your concerns about what the game is like, short of having you play the game or full untampered with game footage. Screen shots and promises can always be misinterpreted and or dismissed. So what are your concerns about MW:O then? That it is not what the Dev blogs say it will be?

Your English is pretty good, I understand what your saying mostly, I am just confused on what exactly about MWO you are unsure about so far with as little as we have to go on?

Oww thats easy to answer
1.Will it be Real Money = Victory *you know its gaming world and there are some games like that*
2.Will it be realistic like other previous tittles *You know like heat, limited munitions and tonnage limits*
3.Will it be loyal to the saga *cause previous 2 tittles ruined the entire saga.*

But All my concerns cleared now.
Cause nice people made me sure about every feedback being taken into account and cared for and game based on saga.
