Okay...

We all think we got what it takes to be a Solaris champion.. [ Insert cheesy MW4 announcer voice here ]

Seriously I was thinking about the potential for some sort of wagering system to be in place for Solaris matches... A pilot could wager x number of c-bills or XP points. A pilot could not bet more than they posses, thusly... a pilot who has not done their share of grinding can't make a living by pick-pocketing those who have... That said, those with a surplus of c-bills or XP have the opportunity to effectively put their money where their mouth is...

Match winner takes the winnings and collects battle salvage as compensation... Lots of competitive options: one-on-ones... bracket tournaments... team-on-team...

Would be fun for players who are not as interested in actual battle scenarios but still would like the enjoyment of slugging it out with other Mechs...

I agree with it all except betting exp. I want the ruthless feel from mechwarrior 2 mercs back.

I think adding a Solaris "Betting System" available for "Premium" players would be cool.
You could bet some of the C-Bills you earn in-game on outcome of certain battles or something similar.

If we are all allowed to participate on Solaris...you could bet on yourself only!

Can i make more money betting on my opponent than i would by winning the match? Or better yet, pay another warrior to take a dive and reap in the C-Bills.

I also offer reasonable rates on loans.

I am against anything that would create a way to trade items/exp/c-bills to another account.

However, if the gambling only affected your own account and does not included XP...gamble on!

I guess I can see gambling with XP might create some shady scenarios...

Solution to gambling: Instead of betting match by match, have people bet on who will come out on top on a gambling ladder.

First round: 8 participants: ( random placement from pool of lets say... 200, so there would be multiple 8 ladder bets going on to ensure no collusion )

second round: 4 eliminated, 4 remain:
final round: only 2 ramain:

Bets that can be placed:

1) who is the absolute winner
2) who makes it to the final round
3) etc.

This has been suggested many times before, the Devs are focusing on the main game play concepts they have discussed in the blogs and do not pan to expand upon them anytime in the near future.

Not sure if I'm a fan of the gambling part, but the tournment would be awsome !
They must creat it with at least a few different modes (1x1, lance x lance, and so).
Let's wait !

Solaris would be incredible, even without any betting. 1 on 1 combat battles in shifting arenas would be godly.
