I'm assuming you just have the one pilot and he/she switches between mechs but can somebody verify that? And will the house selection be permanent and will it be tied to the selected emblem when you originally reserved your pilot?

The Devs actually answered that in one of the Ask The devs I think,.. Maybe a blog.. But yes 1 pilot and his name is whatever your forum name is.

Further, the devs talked about the idea of your pilot being able to switch allegiance. The community warfare side of things, which stuff like what house you sign on with affects most, won't be in the game at launch though... so I'm sure a lot of what they have said on the topic so far is subject to change. As it stands, the last I read from the Devs on the subject was that you would lose your progress within the ranks of a House military if you switched out... which of course makes sense.

The image you picked for your profile account is only cosmetic and even if it isnt, you can change it anytime. Its not linked to your house affiliation at all.
