I don't really know where else I can post this, I figured since I'm a fan and I made this on CafePress it may belong in this section, if it's the wrong section then my apologies, mostly I'm wondering if I actually bought this would it be OK for me to do so? You know from copyright and all that business I don't want to be buying a custom shirt and then end up breaking some rules and getting in trouble.

Technically, the image is copyrighted, which means PGI (or IGP or whoever technically owns the copyright) have the right to determine who makes a copy of it. Unless you get their okay, you could get in trouble for it. That said, PGI have been pretty lenient about us using their art in other ways (look at the repainted concept art thread, or the fan-made card game) so they probably wouldn't have a problem with you doing this for personal use. Best check first, though.

Unless of course you try and SELL or make a profit in anyway for said T-shirt then you defiantly will get in trouble :(
On a side note: Looks cool! ;)

Think of it this way. MissSonicBoom is providing MWOMercs.Com and MechWarrior Onlin (PGI/IGP) a set of "Free Advertising".. I Agree to not try and sell and make a profit.. that's a big black mark. But as far as wearing it in public, well.. there are still MANY people who do not know what MechWarrior/BattleTech is and this can easily bring those around to "See the Light".. lol.. Ultimatly, it's PGI/IGP's decission on the outcome of this wonderful shirt and the use of it.

b.t.w, Nice shirt. ;)

old topic but definitely copyright infringement. If you made your own I think it would be fine but the design is a straight rip from PGI. You can do mechwarrior shirts if you're not using other peoples art. You could do a similar shirt but use a different (free or paid) font probably.

Cool shirt, for clarification send an E-Mail to IGP and ASk them if its legal or not.

Maybe some days the guys at IGP make a merchandise deal so all of us could wear such coll kind of shirts to spread the Word.

I like the shirt, cool design. I would like to offer my torso for free advertising (ie if PGI makes the shirt or licenses it , I will buy) :D
I really think they should do a T with the Atlas pic on the sign in screen. Do it offset like the screen and have the image cover most of the shirt. Maybe someday....this IP has a lot of merchandising opportunities. ThinkGeek is waiting....
