Recruiting Status:
spades: SELECTIVE
Hearts: OPEN
Diamonds:OPEN
Clubs:HIGHLY SELECTIVE

What we're looking for
-Veteran in skill level or willing to train with our pilots to get to that point
-Winning mindset. We play to win.
-Mature, 18+.
-Mic, TS3, English-speaking
-Active and willing to dedicate some hours to training
-Team players capable of putting team ahead of self in battle

The EU division is largely active during the 5pm GMT/UCT to 11pm GMT/UCT timeslot during the week and pretty much from early mornings on wards at the weekends. Although we are structured the same as our US division, we are going to allow all pilots one month as Jokers so that they may get an idea of where they can fit in with our unit and they will then apply to the respective suit officers to be accepted into their divisions.
We have 3 designated EU training evenings and any pilots joining will be expected to attend a minimum of one of these.

Procedure
Interested pilots should browse our site and post on our recruiting forums. The Recruitment officer will contact you to set up an interview and an evaluation. Pending successful completion of both, you will be assigned as a Joker on a probationary period. Once your probationary period is complete the leading officer of your desired division will make the final decision on your entry. Applications should be set in the following format. Please copy and paste the questions into the body of your post and answer them.

Subject: Application: "Pilots MWO Name"
  • What is your experience with MechWarrior and BattleTech, team games in general, and league play experience? This can include other video games.
  • On a scale of 1(lowest) to 10(highest) how competitive do you wish to play and why?
  • Why you're interested in the Aces? What do you think you can bring to the Team?
  • What division you're interested in joining and why?
  • What days and times are you most active?
  • Do you have a microphone, and are you familiar with Teamspeak 3 or other voice chat programs?

I realise you've had no replies, I can only imagine that's because of the flood of forum topics and recruits probably head to your website first.

I'm leaving a basic application here and i'll post a more detailed one (maybe) on your website :) [Edit] Application has been submitted to website also.

A little about your experience with MechWarrior and BattleTech, or team games in general - in particular League play
Played the original Mechwarrior 1 and 2, and 3 annnnnnnd Vengeance. Only for fun, nothing much. A little online CTF play.
But I have a huge history of success in online gaming including #1 position in the UK Enemy Down CS Source ladder during its opening year or two. A highly successful history in Lineage 2 Private servers leading my own clan and having dealt with more than 200-300+ players at a time. And lately plenty of games on League of Legends with premades and so on.
I love being a part of a team I can't stand playing without fun/communication/organisation.

Why you're interested in the Aces
I'm English, I live in England and after 5-6-7 *lost count* years of leading international players in Lineage 2 etc, I just want to play with a team that communicates entiiiiiirely flawlessly in my language without the need for assistance or some behaviour modification process on my part. I want to be able to slip in and fit in effortlessly.

Your clan seems somewhat dedicated and proud of yourselves, which leads me to believe you have a good time together. I think the community aspect is the most comforting part of a team; nothing is worse than playing with random people and not knowing each other over time etc.

What division you are interested in

QUE? I don't know what that question even means. Are you asking if I want to apply for your US team or your EU team? I don't know. Quite frankly I can scale to either, my hours are not irregular but are entirely flexible plus my native language is English so technically I can fill in for either.

Note: I'm a sick player, a great team player, a very experienced leader and I play to win... and lol about.

I'm 23 and refuse to play without Ventrilo or equivalent. That way you know i'm A: not a kid, and B: not a poop.

Having read your website I realise I should re-do the last question.

I would be most suited to Heart or Diamond division, all of my mechs are energy based. (I don't find ballistic weapons suitable as ammo limitation takes extra slots and weight, accuracy is partly luck based as you canno't anticipate all enemy speed/directional changes or being knocked around by fire, I don't want to waste aim on that. I don't care for missile spam as that is a skillset wasted on someone who can aim lasers consistently.)

I play Catapult with either Stream+Medium Laser combos, or K2 with Large Lasers (heavy focus).. or an Awesome/Dragon with a mix of Streaks/Medium pulse/Large and perhaps some LRMs.

I'm good with aiming, good with positioning and moving around at speed so I handle close range/medium range fights well. But I'm not one to stand there infront of 3 guys with an ATLAS and pretend I'm doing my job.

I'm part of the European Blazing Aces Company and it was one of the best decisions that I could have made. For anyone thinking about joining a group I can't recommend the Blazing Aces enough.

Hopefully I'll see you out there on the battlefield!
