Besides, they're really useful for scouting purposes

What type? I've always wanted one like a cockroach - can hide anywhere but runs fast

While i would like to see them ingame aswell i doubt they should be among the first mechs to be released.
If they are released a bit later they could add a bit of a flavor to the game just after the constant two legged mechswarms get a bit boring.
Besides as far as i know there are only a few of them in BT.

You could look at http://mwomercs.com/...types-of-mechs/ and http://mwomercs.com/...mechs-and-lams/ there were a couple of other threads about this as well, but these were the main ones.

Quads are fine, but I would miss my Torso Twisting.

:P

Quads may not be able to torso twist, but they can do lateral movement, as in sidestepping, i think that would be advantageous in urban enviroments

Quads are problematic for development as getting their legs to set right on non planar terrain is a huge PITA for animation purposes. This is the main reason they havn't been seen in recent games.

To be honest, if the Scorpion was available, I don't think I'd pilot much else. Very good speed for its weight class, decent fire support, and can competently fill any role in the game (scout, defender, attacker, commander), due to its presence on the high-end of the Medium Class.

True its hard to do but possible. If there will be no quad mechs when the game first launches that okay. but surely once its out you'll have plenty of time to get it all worked out.
