Will each variant have its own model/artwork? For examle the Hunchback HBK-4G (AC20 version) looks much differnt than the HBK-4P (Md Laser variant) or the HBK-4J (LRM variant).
I sincerely hope that variants will be visually distingishable from one an other. It was one my biggest issues from the Mechwarrior series. No matter what you did to a mech it always looked the same.

I'd like to at least see something like MW:LL had, where the different weapons mounted on your 'Mech each had a different appearance. I really don't think that's too much to ask.
At the very -least- have a different appearance for lasers or ballistics so I don't have large lasers coming out of an autocannon barrel or something.

We already did something like this for Battletech Simulator. We all created mech models without any weapons, the weapons were added ingame from a pool of premade weapons.
It was pretty crude, but you could visually ID most variants.

I'd like to see this taken further. I would like to see different models of mechs based on the century they were built, or what factory they came from. An old automated factory Centurion (as an example) should have a very different look from a new endosteel frame model that just rolled off a freshly refurbished factory.
I. Would. Pay. Money. For. This.

I would pay for it as well. I think to get something like this, though, yoiu're going to also have to opt into limited and set variants. So, we get individual models, but we have to stick to canon variants?
I'd buy that.

umm... this is 2012... Graphics and PC games have evolved a hell of a lot since 2002 and MW4. . . If they did not have mechs looking different via what their loadouts are i would be VERY dissapointed and shocked. I am going to say that this is probably a given.
