My Guess is the next mech will be either a light or medium based on the
Facebook polls they have been putting up the last couple of weeks.
Therefore the next mech is probably on one of those particular lists as well.
Edit: As the nice gentleman reminded me below, there are 2 Mediums not just 1.

Though if we're going with Lights then I'll say Firestarter. FD already did some nice artwork on that once and I'm crazy when I play with Lights anyways. A Mech sized Zippo lighter will suit me just fine.

Orion as the next mech
But would live to see also the
Crab
And a mech that is not seen in the TRO's until after the time but is listed as coming in around 2700 is the Hammerhand trying to freshen up this game they should embrace some of the mechs not seen in earlier games to give us new things to learn a remake of 3025 could prove to be rather stale. New mechs mean we have to learn how to use and survive in them and bring a new dimension to the game.

1 Medium? We have the Hunchback and the Centurion.
1 Light -Jenner
2 Medium - Hunchback, Centurion
2 Heavies - Dragon, Catapult
1 Assault - Atlas
I'm hoping for a Light like the Commando or Raven. But I think one of the Dev's said something to the effect that it ws going to be "awesome" , so probably the Awesome.

We've seen two Mediums and two Heavies so far. Let's see two Assaults and two Lights before we see any more Mediums or Heavies. After the Awesome or Wolfhound, feel free to show us the Marauder, or the Orion.

As for the polls, It would seem to me they have a list of Mechs they probably already have at or near completion for play-testing. Lets just randomly say this number is 12. I wonder if then, after having their core "12" (made up number) are taking community input as they plan out the rest of the mechs that will be available at launch or soon after.
Just my guess: Id say anything in a poll is the LEAST likely to be seen anytime soon.

But why does nobody see, that there are already two scout mechs around, not just one? Or what do you think do the steiners use their Altas for?

It's been in the field in use Since 2572 all it really needs is a few upgrades .
Like droping 1 srm-6 its ammo and case for 2 ER medium lasers some double heat sinks .
