The Commando has always had a soft spot in my heart. Although I perfer other mechs, the Commando was the first mech I "owned" in The Cresent Hawks Inception.
Great job FD.

Kinda looks like it has a monocle.

In my opinion, it could do without the monocle. But of course, my opinion is only worth $0.02.
But...'MECH APPROVED! *stamps*

...Plus with that short range armament and low production cost, it sort of looks like a toy, to me.
I mean, it's awesome and it has got this military or maybe industrial feel to its general form; it's a really good looking battlemech with decent firepower at short range; I'm not saying it's not a good combat unit.
It's just a really cute combat unit.
Maybe that's because it's one of the more humanoid designs, but I think it is a really easy 'Mech to relate to and become affectionate towards - I think, it's not a 'Mech you'd deploy to the battlefield, more like one you'd employ in occupation forces or city defense.
I'm not sure I'd drive one of those, but I'd definitely purchase one.

I never cared for the look of the Commando, but this is better. I like that it actually looks like a 25 tonner! And I love that it has a six-pack (counting the segments below the torso ring), that was good for some chuckles. Pilot is certainly riding on those SRMs isn't he, brave to do that without CASE.

There are some areas in the Mech's designs that I approve of, and others that I think are pulling too much from the Centurion (which I loathe)
It has a wide stature that exudes strength in the fact that it's a war machine. But it also looks like a person. Arms, legs, head; this conveys a sense of weakness to it (despite it's 25T size) As it currently stands, my approval of the current Mechs is:
Wait, you're complaining about that fact that it is humanoid? You want it to be less humanoid?

Considering how pompus the Lyrans could get, I totally see this.
As for this art, very nice. I'll take a lance, the Lyrans need some battle armor anyways (Hogarth moment).
