I'm 32 and down not as versed in the lore as I've had no one to table top with, and though partial to Davion like Kurita also so would be down.

This group might be enough alone for me to switch.

I am part of a group interested in playing for House Kurita. I've been a part of a group website called 2Old2Play.com for several years. We appreciate playing with older people who understand teamwork and communication while in battle. Not to say we don't cut-up and have fun, just that there's a maturity level present that you don't get often with Timmies.

We're not expecting people to join 2O2P with this group. Just want to form a House Corps of gamers over 25.
If you're interested, feel free to post.

LOL I've been playing games since the first personalized computer came out.
Remember TRADEWARS?
or better yet... DIKU/MOO/ROMS/MOOSH
Oh those were the days.

DAMN I AM FEELING OLD!!

I'm always up for running with a group that understands tactics and how to follow them. However, I have to point out that I have met my fair share of gamers over 25 who have acted worse than hyper-active 10 year olds, and a few teens that acted more mature than some 40 year olds I know.

I'm interested. Not sure if I want to go Kurita or not, but I will definitely check out the website. A month away from 39 and long time fan of the games, tabletop and computer. I miss my Warhammer IIc miniature. :)

I think "Timmies" is a reference to the M:TG card that is CHEEP as hell and equally annoying.....played a few games against 'em.

Im 37 and live in Florida. I go to school full time and have nothing better to do but be bored with W.O.W. and search the internet.

If only I were older...

then I wouldn't have to deal with quitters and feeders.

This group already exists, we call ourselves 9th Sword of the Dragon. However we are not doing any pre-release recruitment at this juncture. :)

I am playing for Davion but I really like the idea posted by the OP.

I am a 45 year old English teacher (eighth grade). I have to listen to enough of the attitude and profanity at work ... I surely do not want to hear it when I am not getting compensated for it.

I have been playing BattleTech for a long time and would like to find some guys like the ones you are recruiting. Is 2O2P creating groups for every House? That would be a great idea.

Also, I am a Christian ... I do not cuss and, to me, reigning in my emotions and enjoying the game is more important than my k/d ratio (but I do like fighting for the win).

I just think it is funny how you have to mute people in games to be able to enjoy the action most times and then they want to ridicule you for not listening, following commands, etc. Anyway, I am rambling now (as old people tend to do) ... I see this game taking the place of COD in my life.

With that being said, I would really appreciate a way to find players who take their conduct and personal integrity more seriously than their role-playing. :)

Yeah... Well... perhaps you could come up with a better name for that please...
or use one that already exists like "Griefer"... ya think?

I looked Timmies up in Google and its a coffee shop people like.

additional, my i.r.l. name is Tim and I do not like to see it smudged like that.
thx

Well, I AM turning 30 this year...but I have no desire to fight for House Kurita. I will either be going with the Steiners (Adam steiner was a good soldier and leader), or staying freelance until I can get in with the ghost bears.

I'm 22 and I've probably gone through more physical pain than most people here, including a year of legitimate homelessness and starvation for days at a time. That's required me to be very mature; to utilize my intelligence and wisdom, to learn street smarts.

I've played Battletech since I was in diapers (starting up the Crescent Hawk's Revenge in DOS)

I'm a Japanese-American and have loved house Kurita since I first learned their lore before I even hit puberty.

But I can't join you guys because I need to be alive for three more years, based off the misconception of age and wisdom somehow coming hand-in-hand, instead of through experience.

Screw your House. I'm going to go make my own House, and it'll have Blackjack, and hookers.

Count me in!

I'll pop over to your site and take a look. Long before we got married, my best friend, his brother and I used to run Battletech TT games once a month. Marriage and kids (and lets be honest- a whole heaping of Asheron's Call and WOW) kinda killed it for me. But, no greater games times have been had in the last 25 years since then.

I'm 45 now. Even though I can't fit into my old pants anymore, I bet a new mech cockpit would fit just fine.

Always waiting for missile lock.....

I bet you would look great in a Wasp or Stinger or Locust :)

so I was around before Neil Armstrong did his thing, those old enough and those who stuck in school will know what that was. I would like to be part of this but there is one problem, I live and play in Atlantic time which comes before Eastern. that means 10PM for me is 9pm eastern, is 8pm central, 7 mountain and 6 pacific will there be a breakdown for groups based on timezone? I live in Nova Scotia Canada btw.

Started playing TT more than 25 years ago. I will play nothing but Kurita.

Count me in. I'd prefer to play recon, if given the choice.

Age aside (26), I've been playing BT for as long as I can remember, Mechwarrior was one of the first games I ever played on a PC, over and over again. The aspect that I really like is the tactics and communication. I don't need a timmy screaming in my ear about how he fondled my mother or whatever other crude profanities kids are uttering these days.

As far as the communication goes, I currently have a TeamSpeak 3 server, which I'm more than willing to share with folks once we get the game going and get some regular groups.
