Hello, I am new to Mechwarrior Online. I have been a fan of the series for quite some time.
I got my first taste of the video games with MW 2 Mercenaries. The game disc was included in a bundle with a brand new computer back in 1995.
I have read every novel I can get my hands on. Unfortunately, many book stores in the county I reside in do not generaly carry them, or not in a wide variety.
Basically I started this thread to try and introduce myself. Hopefully get to know other members of the Mechwarrior Online community. While also gaining more knowledge of the BattleTech/Mechwarrior universe.

My history with the games is rather backwards.
I first found out about MW, by watching the MW4:Mercs trailer. I then started playing and got original MW 4 after that. Didn't know about any lore and stopped playing when I got bored. No BTech interest sparked for me, because I didn't speak English at the time.
After being for a while on the forums, I corrected that by playing both MW3 and MW2, but that's a bit later.
In 2009 the trailer hit, and I imediately remembered about the games, but no game was made. After that, MW:O showed up. Excited about it, I imediately signed up and I've been here since then. Slowly finding allegiances, getting to know the lore and getting some reputation.
Now, I'm pretty known between the people supporting Fed Com, and being haten by them, but that's normal according to lore.
Nice to meet you, too.

Thanks to all of your for the kind responses.
Omigir: Funny how people with like minds and interests tend to do that.
NARCoMan: Living in a rural area has it benefits, and it has it's downsides. That's ok though, I'd rather live in a rural area than an urban one any day.
Adridos: The Fed Com thing sounds about right.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot: I really hope MWO becomes a reality. It is way past time for a new MW game to come out.
Kaemon: Thank you for the link. I've read into a good bit of it. Still digesting it.
Vertous: I'll be certain to express them. I've read some interesting opinions and suggestions on various threads.

Even the veterans here are all MWO n00bs. First shot in anger has yet to be fired. Unless you count playtesting when Paul is the target.
