I have an idea to add mechs artillery. They would be on the back eg a laser gun but had to be in some way spread out from August can not leave at this point, for example, move your only rotate 45 degrees to the left and the right have the option to a single shot on eg 10 s May also here just a limited range depending on the type of work one might be the shooting on but less well or shoot farther but I have to wait longer to reload if an attack were to be some smaller one or two lasers to defend but had to go back to the original state and only can be obraniac.

Sorry for spelling mistakes because I use translator.

I can't understand you because of the translator.
1: Your translator is a spy working at ruining our budding international relations for his own gain.
2: The translator is a new and improved version of AutoCorrect.
Shoot your translator. It is evil incarnate.

I think this is about some type of indirect fire that requires a laser targetting system or can be defended against with lasers.
If this is true how would it be different than missiles?

i have some small experence interacting with orientals. this is what the translation sounds like.
i have this idea to add artillery to mechs. they would be on the back like the shadow hawk. the mech would be slow moving and could not turn much, like 45 degrees to either the left or the right. the artillery would have different ranges kinda like how lrms do verry little damage at close range. they would have only one or two small lasers to defend it at close range.

thanks for this interesting suggestion garox97, there are some artillery mechs in the tabletop game such as the naga. they may give this idea some thought. it would be interesting to say the least.

I think it's a good idea, but it would be a problem to make a mech with lots of "long range" weapons that doesn't blow up because of the heat, wich seems problem with every (even "light" ones)

Thanks for the translation!
It is an interesting idea. In past games there was a Long Tom artillery piece, but I'm not sure if it is canon or not.
If it does fit in the lore it would be kinda fun to have it.
Watch for a group of assault mechs and lob some hard rain!

There is already aritllery in Mechwarrior. The Arrow IV missile artillery system. It was developed by the old Star League, and rediscovered along with much of the rest of the technology from the Helm memory core. If youre talking about old fashioned cannons, then there are at least a bare handful of (mostly ancient and obsolete) mechs that mount them, such as the Helopolis.

a great design is a heavy long-range mech with something like cloaking for example

In a area there is little cover so this mech would be able to operate without being picked up on sensors however it has to stay in animate to stay cloaked. also it can't use lasers in any variation of the mech

elementals/power armor, quad/tripod mechs, and ultra light/prototype mechs.
anything to add a bit of spice to the game, they have never used any of the above as a pilotable option.

Yeah...Whatever you meant, I am sure it is a great idea!

Check sarna. Does it exists in canon in 3049?

Yes: We want.

No: We do not want.
