I'm sure I'm going to get flak for this Poll...but what the heck! ;)

Let the Ack-Ack guns fire away. I can take it! B)

P.S. Yes those are all actual published Battlemechs for those who are wondering...
I'm curious to see who can actual identify them all... :o

Too true, but their main enemy was intended to be poorly armed pirates, not usually other
main-line Battlemechs.

Urbanmechs were meant to be a cheap civic defense against soft enemies...nothing more.

In MWO they would be a semi-joke to add IMHO. That's all. ;)

Don't worry, I understand there are a lot of Urbie fans out there...
heck I even voted in the poll for them myself! :o

I'm not sure the Mackie could be called a joke; it's pretty primitive, alright, but it's still in the Assault weight class with pretty decent combat capabilities - I think it could hold its own against most of the other 'Mechs of this era, on single combat.
Save for Clan 'Mechs, of course.

So, I know we're not very likely to see it in MWO, but I voted for it, anyway.

I haven't seen a pic of it since I originally saw it in a Battletechnology mag back in the 80s or 90s.

It was a heavy mech, I think, with the capability for the internal structure to "Jump" out of its armor and then run away at a faster speed because it had no more armor slowing it down. Basically it was a protoype command mech that it's intent was to keep the commander alive and abe to "retreat" from combat more easily.

Funny as heck. ;)

I chose Griffin. Was always a good mech. So a Super-Griffin, geeeesh, I dunno if anyone could handle that firepower.

I should clarify again: Urban Mechs do rock...
But to add them to MWO would be kinda silly (hence the poll) as they would lose (I estimate) 90%
of fights versus anything faster or heavier.

Urbie-on-Urbie battles on the other hand would be funny as all get-out. :)

Ahh.. a Urbies job is to defend URBAN enviroments.. and they do it well.

That said they said the game would have more focus on an Urban enviroment... so.... :)

Later add-on for the game idea, the urbie-dome, an urban solaris map where you and friends fight off endless waves of urbies.

There is nothing silly about an urbanmech. Something that can blow away anything and costs next to nothing? Sign me up!
