No, because Macs are overpriced PCs with a wannabe Linux OS.

To be honest the only reason i have a mac is because my parents bought it.. so running it on a mac would be nice and save me money.

The real problem here is that this problem excludes an ever-increasing client base. In response to 'there is no mac gaming platform': ever heard of a MacPro or iMac?? MacPros eat professional graphics for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Also, I completely agree MWO should be available for linux/unix. With one of these caveats satisfied, I would have no problem with buying into the founder program. Until then, they're missing out on all the money Mac owners have..

Which is to say an unusually above average disposable income =\

It's unbelievable how many people now a days are running Mac gaming rigs, should MWOnline be acessable to them??? what are your thoughts??

Mac and gaming rig should never be used in the same sentence. That's hilarious and made me laugh out loud, for realsies. just get that thing that makes you have windows on a mac.

I own an iMac (and love it). I have dual booted(apple calls it boot camp). I run mechwarrior online with no problems. If you have any questions about doing it go ahead and contact me. I'll see if I can help you out.

why would pgi spend there time on a smaller market? I would think by now people would know that if your looking for gaming on a pc level you don't even think of getting a MAC. Maybe once they have the game done and bugs fixed but I think it would be a wast of man hours for very little payoff.

If the game will run using bootcamp, the question is moot.
And the Apple Mantra that Professionals use Macs is generalization hogwash. Windows 7 is actually a better OS than Mac and Microsoft users tend to not be brainwashed into thinking they need a Windows based computing solution. I do all my photography work on a Win 7 based computer. Frankly, once you are in a Professional application doing work, the OS is transparent.

When I used my iMac I would just dual boot using bootcamp (as ConanTheGamer said), I had no issues running the game, or any game for that matter. As for "professionals only using Apple", so untrue, that's just Apple elitist marketing at play. I would be considered a "professional" of sorts, macs never come near our systems.
But to answer the original question "should it be accessible for mac users", no it shouldn't. I would rather see PGI use their time creating a bug-free PC version then having to port it to OS X. Besides, most mac gamers (don't laugh) usually have windows running through bootcamp.
