Mr. Compton, and all the men, my grandfather included, who served with him should never be forgotten.
I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this. Both of my Grandfathers are WW 2 veterans, one of which has passed on, the other who is thankfully still with us. He is my hero, and the man who I try to emulate each and every day.
Remember those who served, and who do serve. Honor their work, their blood, sweat, and tears. He, and his family, are in my thoughts and prayers.
<Salute> Rest now noble soldier. Thank you for the service you gave, and the life of honor and dignity you lived.
