I'm not tremendously tech savvy when it comes to system requirements. I was thinking about buying the founders package and join the hub-bub.
Here are my specs.
OS- Windows 7
Intel core i7 860 2.80 GHz
Installed Memory RAM 4.30
64 Bit operating System.
ATI 5770HD
Can I run this? Effectively?

Yes, you can run the game with that setup. It is slightly better than mine and I can run it just fine.

OP, post this in the appropriate forum (we can't talk about beta here), and we could give you very detailed answers. As of right now, the best one could tell you -what you could find out without access to MWO based on rough comparisons with Crysis 2- is that you should be able to play smoothly, at some indeterminate level of detail and resolution.
I must have missed that somehow. they released the system requirements?

On a i7-2600 + DDR3-1600Mhz + GTX580 I'm able to turn all the settings to highest at 1920x1200, but it really does heat up the old video card. Uses around 900MB of video memory and 70-90% of the GPU.
Looks great!
