That's a strawman nord.you want every person who downloads MWO,to also download a 3rd party program and find the teamspeak addresses to join? most people that play online video games rarely,if ever, visit the forums...much less are they active in them.you think they are gonna bother with team speak? or do you think they are gonna get rolled repeatedly and say "screw it,this game sucks"?
Is it hard to get on TS,join some people, and steamroll pugs? no,of course not.Been there, done that.Boring as crap. But the fact of the matter is,the majority of people are never going to get on TS,at least not until they decide they want to join a group and play with
them.If they stick around long enough to get to that point anyways.
Saying "ZoMg why doesn't everyone just get on da teamspeakzz like me???" doesn't change the fact that premades never should have been fighting pugs,And the premades are only making matters worse by continuing to steam roll and knowing full well what they are doing.
You guys continue to insist on forcing your way of playing on random new comers,I can just as easily say "Hey,you know the matchmaking is borked right now,why don't you stop "exploiting the system" and pug until the fixes are put in?"
see, sounds silly when i try to force my playstyle on you doesn't it?

So the C3 VOIP the game is programmed to interface with is an exploit?

who has yet to join a single team, but hangs out on the TS server sometimes to shoot the breeze with folks

That argument goes both ways. Believe me I understand people don't want to get stompped, but that will happen no matter if going up against a full premade or just a pug that orgainzed/communicates. And people don't want to wait in queues forever and a day to play a match, which is a possibility for the premades when they are forced to play only premades.
A much better solution is voice comms in game or at least voice macros/hotkeys to give quick commands. Hit the U key to announce "target x unit" to the rest of the team quickly.

I used the quotation marks to punctuate how silly either side of this argument is.Is it exploiting? no of course not, that statement is just as silly.besides, you know the C3 function is garbage and no one uses it.anyone in a predmade is on TS/vent/mumble.rare exceptions not with standing.
Is it abusing a broken system to the detriment of a game that already has only a niche audience anyways? yes, without a doubt.

Make a system where you can have a pre-canned message to inform the team what your doing, or what you need. (Help, Scouting, etc...)
Give some hud warning or message when the person who "Took Command" of the map issues commands.
Also give the players some way to signal recipt of messages (Rodger, affirmative, Solid Copy, etc...)

Press B for the map, and in the upper left hand corner is an option to be commander. How many times have you been commander in match, and if so what commands did you send to your team? Friend me, and I'll drop wiffff you cuz.

I wil lalso call strawman on you...
If most people don't use the forums and are essentially Pugs then how is it possible that the majority of players are always loosing games to a minority.
It would stand to figure that the majority of pug matches lost were to the rest of the majority ie other pugs.
What I am getting at is nothing will change with strict pug vs pug matches.the victory will always go to the better players/team.
A vocal minority of truely aweful pilots will always cry on the forums about anything and everything they blame for their losses since they will never ever blame themselves.

If the noobs from PGI would finally understand how that mm works then you will enjoy fights against other "organised" teams np.
But whoever doesnt wanna stay with kids and really likes to be lone wolf has all the ways to have fun too
