When the towers fell?

I was in Job Corps in Utah, and in my dorm I heard that it had happened, dismissed it. Job Corps was worse than a small town for false rumors. I went outside, heard it again, dismissed it, told friends it had to be fake, it was Job Corps. We went into our Trade and they had a TV set up (we didnt have TVs in our dorms) and I found out it was real.
when the second plane hit. One of my friends there's sister worked in the towers but she called in. We were allowed to all call family and make sure they were OK.

Where were the players here when this happened?

Six years old in Kingergarten, they showed it to all the classrooms. Honestly thought they were showing us an Action Movie. Kind of stupid back then.

Parents came and picked me up, and that was it.

17, and In my very first semester of college. A student who was late to class told us about an accident in New York, and our instructor changed the subject. It wasn't until lunch when I checked the news that I found out what had happened. I nearly missed my 1300 class.

On a customer's roof, running my subcontracting crew.
The one and only time a customer has ever kicked me off a job in 20 years in the trade.
"Go home and be with your family" was pretty much all he said. This was not open for negotiation.
I did. In time to watch the second plane live on tv.

My heroes died going UP the stairs.

I was sitting at the south gate of a factory monitoring truck traffic when I heard over the radio a plane crashed into the Trade Center. I called the dispatcher and had them turn on all the TVs in the plant. Needless to say, no work was done on that day.

Doing my Mandarin homework, thinking 'things couldn't possibly get any worse'. Then I turned on the news.

And saw the second collision live.

I was sitting at home studying for a Windows 2000 server exam when my father barged in and immediatly turned on the TV (I still lived with my parents back then). We saw the second plane impact the WTC immediatly after that.

Just came back from work and turned on TV while I undressed - stopped in the middle of it. It was all over the media, two planes had crashed inside the towers and that they are still holding up, allthough smoking.

I was sleeping and my sister woke me up shouting "Woah come see this! Hurry, an airplane crashed into a building!"

I wasnt that surprised since airplane accidents happens... and just a couple of years ago in France there was that accident with the Concorde airplane... so "no big deal" i tought.... I walked to the living room to see that. 10 minutes later or so i saw the other plane crashed into the second tower.

My imediate first tought: "dafraq?... thats not an accident..." And i glued myself into the television on the next hours.

Woke up and was preparing to head out.
I had morning classes in college.
Saw something on the news with my mom and asked if this was a weird commercial or something.
That's when the second plane hit and I slowly woke up to the idea I wasn't watching a promotion.
Classes were cancelled that day.

All I remember thinking was "it's gonna get worse."
And it did.

AI was watching something on TV about people that survived it (one was in the actual office in the second tower where the plane hit) and they said the buildings swayed and they thought they were going to go over when it happened. I cant even imagine.

Sitting on the roof of my house, watching the towers burn and fall, and hoping everyone I knew made it out alive.
