And how do just two groups of lrms blow up the entire thing? If that was true, they would oneshot mechs left and right.

Probably hit an ammo cache or something stored in the back of the hangar, that's what I've always thought.

I admit, I thought the ending was garbage as well, but it was swallowable garbage. It could have been FAR worse, see ME3.
