Chill out rant...
Spoiler

In game, as of writing, today is Tuesday, 11 September, 3049. The clan invasion is upon us, though the Inner Sphere is mostly unaware.

I figured I would post an abbreviated timeline. Much of this is taken from Sarna.net and the 3052 Era Report.

27 September 3048 - ComStar Explorer Corps ship Outbound Light arrives at Huntress. Clan Smoke Jaguar captures it.

21 November 3048 - The Clans vote in favor of invading the Inner Sphere. Clan Wolf is alone in voting against.

August - September 3049 - Clan forces invade the periphery taking 22 Planets in their pre-invasion wave.

13 August 3049 - Phelan Kell captured by Clan Wolf at The Rock.

2 Novemeber 3049 - ComStar makes contact with invading Clan forces.

January 3050 - Precenctor Martial Anastasius Focht is appointed the ComStar Ambassador to the Clans. He meets them and opens negotiations.

7 March 3050 - The first wave of Operation Revival is commenced. By the end of April the Federated Commonwealth, Free Rasalhaugh Republic, and Draconis Combine will have lost 35 planets.

May 3050 - The Second Wave commences.

So for those of you who are saying. "It's still two years away." You need to remember, we've been on these forums for a year or so. By this point the Clans have already taken the Bandit Kingdoms including the Oberon Confederation. Phelan Kell has been taken bondsman.

The periphery is dark. A communications breakdown is the assumed cause. We have 6 months left until the first wave of Operation Revival begins. So conceivably, some of us could be meeting Mad Cats on the field at any time the devs want. (Does Paul ride a Summoner?) The rest of us will see them in 6 months. As for when the players will have access to them, your guess is as good as mine. Just keep in mind, the invasion is not as far off as you may think.

PS: If people find this post useful, I will update and fill out the timeline.

Plus you forgot the bit about Clan Wolf creating Wolf's Dragoons to gather detailed intel on Inner Sphere fighting capabilities over a 20 year period.

Its known to you and me, but if you read that rant, you'll see why I posted. (Maybe I should relabel the spoiler thingy.)

With so many people going, 'ARGGHHHH Clans not even here for 2 years shut up noob! HULK SMASH!' I figured we might need a reminder on the timeline. I didn't claim any of this information was new. I even cited my sources. Is there another place where someone else has put this all together for those of us who haven't been playing MW and BT since the 80's/90's?

You know Why people say we have 2 years? First we don't expect that game will go open beta(live) for at least few months (start of 2013 maybe). Then it is prty much expected that time line will be reset the moment game go live/open (make sense for Community Warfare). And with time line going from point 0 again it looks like 2 years from now. It also make sense in development time for devs to get clan tech playable.

But if they don't reset time line then you are correct. Just explaining where this "2 years" came from.

News to me. The devs have been pretty clear how the timeline progression work relative to our current time.

The two year mark on the Mad Cat is pure supposition on the community's part. I would say that it is impossible for Inner Sphere pilots to get access to Clan salvage until at the victory at Wolcott. But an interesting fact some might not know is that there is a Daishi factory on Outreach right now.

Blood of Kerensky Trilogy. The Dragoons brought the specifications with them from Clan space. They settled Outreach because it was home to a forgotten Star League era 'Mech factory, which they refurbished. They gave one to Victor after they revealed their origins to the Inner Sphere. If I remember correctly, production ended when the Dragoons ran out of the material to produce Clan spec XL engines (and prompted them to design the compact engine).

The Compact Fusion Engine was developed by the Lyran Alliance in 3068. (TechManual, pg. 214)

It is the Light Fusion Engine that was developed by the Wolf's Dragoons... though, LFEs didn't see action on the field until 3062, after the Lyrans stole the design data from the Dragoons. (TechManual, pg. 214)

Also, kudos on the opening post! :P

Beyond the limited manufacture of the Dire Wolf on Outreach, all Dire Wolves outside of Clans Smoke Jaguar and Wolf (or the Wolf's Dragoons) are either gifts, isorla, or were acquired through trade.

I am sure they did not start building these Omnis until after the Clan Invasion. Please show us were you saw they were building the Omni before 3052.

They settled on Outreach in the 3030s and immediately set about repairing the Star League factories there. They were already built as of 3051 when two were given Hohiro Kurita and Victor Steiner-Davion.
