That guide suggestions for Bugdet, Ivy under 100 and Good enough do not apply to MWO. All of those are dual core processors, while I am sure that they are good for Wow and possibly other older games that are not multi-threaded, games a la MWO (you know, the modern stuff) favour heavily multi core (up to 4) processors, in line with the current trends. Unless you have a specific need for high single threaded performance, you are better off by buying some quad core stuff, a Phenom/FX or an I5. Plus I do not want to get into any fanboi argument again, but AMD processors in performance/price are holding the bottom end of the marker.

All in all, that guide is heavily WoW centred, which is not exactly at the screaming edge of gaming performance. While relevant on its own, there is better stuff around for a Cryengined game.

We have a user that had the patience and has been so kind to fill up this section of buying advices/guides that are much more relevant to the MWO. Read the stickies.
