I was reading about mercs. They seem to pick contracts working for factions. I imagine that a contract means that it is based on lore. If so then it will likely be pve while factions are pvp. Anyone understand this better than me?

Well, it would be with PvE, but because there is going to be no PvE, we don't have any AI, etc. and it would get repetitive.

So instead, mercs do the same as house warriors, but without some bonuses while enjoying the fact that they can fight anywhere and anyone they want. <_<

Correct me if I am wrong but it is all PvP, if you are in a merc group you will do contracts for different factions and if you are in a faction you will do contracts for your facion.

Not known yet.
Currently all signs indicates PVE contracts, although PVP based contracts might also be possible. I'd prefer the later of course. <_<

i think contracts is a very rough term to use. i think its going to be a very basic system of pick a house to work for. pick a game mode (attack/defend/engagement), look thru the list for the enviroment you prefer to fight in. hit the drop ship button.
