There is no problem with that, but in your first post, which you start before reading the information available, you ask if this is a pay to win game.
And you also start making statements about the game, which clearly indicate that you come from WOT, before you have taken any time to read about it, and some of your statements honestly seem to be based on nothing but your WoT experience.
You are judging this game based on your experience with a totally different game by a totally different developer and which has absolutely nothing to do with MWO, before you have taken the time to even read about the game
Before doing that you should take some time to read the stickies and Dev blogs on the forums here, as they contain a wealth of information.
But to Answer your question, no this not a Pay to win game, the devs are very adamant about this game not being that.
You can Pay to save time as someone said, but anything you can buy with real money you can get with ingame money, it will only take a little longer if you do it with ingame money
If you consider buying a founders pack, I recommend you take the time to read some of the Information on the packs and make an informed decision, and not just buy blindly to get into beta.
A little bit about founders pack:
Premium Account.
This gives you a 50% XP/Cbill Bonus, I have not heard about anything else.
Founders Mechs.
There are 1 of each weight class, these are the prime variant of their weight class, and there are only 2 differences from the non founder mec
Those differences are a different skin color, and a permanent Cbill bonus.
Veteran Pack gets no mechs
Elite Pack you get to choose 1 mech
Legendary Pack gives you all 4 mechs
Premium Content.
There are absolutely NO premium content.
Everything you can get with a premium account, you can get with a non premium account.
There are NO premium mechs and there are NO Ammo/weapons that are better than what anyone else can get.
Simply put, everyone have access to everything.
The game is currently in Closed Bate, this means that game is not finished yet and there are many things that dont work and things that have yet to be added, so dont expect a game thats 95% complete.
Imagine a car that are not finished yet, you have the drivers seat, but no other seats, the lights on the car have yet to be installed, doors and the lids for the luggage and engine compartments are missing.
These are not things that are needed for the car to work, but need to be in the car for it to be legal to drive with it on public roads.
Its the same with the MWO beta, the game is playable, but its missing many important thing that will be put in as time progresses.
Last I just recommend you take some time to read the stickies, dev blogs, and the devs Q&A's as they contains all the information you need.
If there are still things you are unsure of or things you dont understand, dont be afraid to ask, most people here are happy to help.
There are exceptions of course, and I recommend you just ignore them, and if it gets bad use the report option and let the moderators deal with it.
