Question, if I buy the veteran pack, and decide before the game comes out I want legendary, will it factor the veteran part in? As in:

Veteran costs $30, if I like and upgrade to Founder, will I pay $90 (since I paid 30 for veteran) or the full $120?

I'd recommend the full legendary. I haven't regretted it for a second. As time goes by, I'm actually more and more happy about the purchase, though I can't discuss why.

I seem to recall the answer to your question being $90, though I can't quote chapter and verse.

But you'll really, really want some founder's pack at a bare minimum.

See, I'm on the fence about legendary/veteran. The middle one isn't even an option. It's either all in, or not in...

Anyway, where would I find out why legendary is such a good thing?

BTW, I have access to closed beta because someone did something wrong and they got me excited (said I got an invite though an email), then said "oops, sry" and instead of crushing my dreams gave me access.

I'm also trying to decide which pack to go with. Legendary sounds really tempting, but I don't know if the game will run on my laptop yet.

I can run Diablo 3 on lowest settings with tolerable lag...anyone know if I should be able to run the game?

Not sure how much i am allowed to say about my actual FPS performance i get with my rig but it definitely needs more than diablo 3. I get far less FPS in MWO at the moment than in diablo 3, maybe it will get optimised and improved later, but right now its a hungry game. Since the game is not twitchy like call of duty it is playable on 30fps, normally i consider anything below 60fps as lag but in this game 30fps very playable.

Scary...well, I suppose I could go veteran and just give a shot...

Thanks for the response, it was helpful.

Yes, you can UPGRADE and then you pay the difference.

This is correct but only while the offer is open. They said that whenever the offer ends, you won't be able to upgrade anymore. Logically they should allow you indefinitely because not allowing just denies them money they could have gotten from future upgraders. So you can either hope they change their mind, or get the best deal you can. I got Legendary and won't regret it next year when everyone envies my perks.

Don't.
Do.
It.

Trust me. I am a complete stranger and I have no reason whatsoever to lie to you.

If you love Mechwarrior, get the Legendary. 4 founders with permanent boosts. plus you get four mech bays on top of that to fill in with whatever mechs you decide to buy. Even if this game turns out to be P2W, I will never regret buying founders. I will never look back or regret paying for something that helped develope this game.

Yes money paid for one counts for any upgrade.

I want to confirm or deny this, but I am uncertain if that would be a breaching of the NDA. If it makes you feel any better, I have no regrets about my purchase.
